I had no idea how versatile this top could be when I purchased it. Sometimes when I buy things I have a clear vision for how I will wear them, but that was definitely not the case with this shirt. In fact, my only idea was to pair it with a gray pencil skirt. I had faith that I would stumble upon more creative ideas, and so far these are the looks I've done - two are from past posts, and two are new. How would you wear this shirt? Which look is your favorite?

i work at kohl's and i have liked that top since it came out, but you've done so many different looks with it! never imagined it could be so versatile. time to see if there's any more still on clearance-- they went fast!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the fourth look. I like how the gray looks with the burgundy jeans. But I also love the gray suede pumps you're rocking in other outfits.
ReplyDeleteThe gray & coral combo is definitely my favorite--I think the pop of color pairs perfectly with the whimsy of polka dots. I'm going to have to start keeping a closer eye on the Lauren Conrad line--I've never liked it much but I LOVE that top!

1 and 4 are my favorites! I love the colors in 3 but am still not ready to wear flare jeans again...haha. I think it's amazing when you find a shirt that's so versatile it pays itself off quickly and without any effort. Great looks!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'd love to see a look or two using a skirt...

I love what you have done with all of them!!! Where did you get the red leggings?!?
ReplyDeleteI like this top. It's nice to see clothes on a real person. When I saw the options listed at the bottom, I didn't really like the way they looked. I didn't realize there was the pleating at the neckline in your pictures (I actually had to scroll back up to check that it was the same). I probably wouldn't have thought twice if I walked by the top hanging on the rack in the store, but you've shown me the err of my ways!
ReplyDeleteI like the second look w/ the army jacket the most. Super cute style combo and color combo!
ReplyDeleteI love the first and last look! Very cute and wearable
ReplyDeleteI went to Kohls looking for this top after your last post but I couldn't find it :(
ReplyDeleteI think the 2 middle ones are my favorite - those jeans are so flattering on you!
ReplyDeleteAll the outfit details are in the caption, but the jeans are from Target.
ReplyDeletelove the top! its a pretty and very versatile wardrobe piece. i have a few pieces like that that i just love!

Oh wow, I think I just love that top on you in general!! The color is lovely against your skin :) I think I like the last outfit the best though; it's a bit more my style than the rest.

Love all 4 outfits, super cute.
ReplyDeleteI love it when other bloggers post "multiple ways" posts -- and the ones where you have done so are my favorite posts of yours.
ReplyDeleteI am a major proponent of stripes, but I'm slowly migrating over to siding with polka dots. I love the top!
The first and last look are my favorite. The first is more casual and for fall because of the browns and toned down colors but the last is somewhat opposite because it is appropriate for work with the blazer and colored skinnies.

I love the first look best. That color combo is great!
ReplyDeleteI love that top! I love that you give so many ideas on how to style it too. I think the orange is my favorite but probably just because I'm obsessed with orange right now.
ReplyDeleteI love the first outfit - the top looks anazing with that necklace!

I absolutely adore this polka dot top! My favorite look is definitely paired with the orange/red jacket. The bright color really works well with the gray and white polka dots. Heather
ReplyDeleteLooks 3 & 4 are my favorites. I'd be more likely to wear the 4th one, but I like the pop of color ^ brightness in look 3.

These are all just *s.u.p.e.r.*!! 'Hard to choose a favorite outfit, though, because I could actually see myself wearing each of them TO something specific, depending on what the "occasion" was, you know............ (i.e., except that my jeans~~because I don't have your great legs!!~~would probably be just regular straight-cuts instead of skinnies or boot-cuts).
ReplyDeleteSince green is supposed to be "THE Color For 2013," I had previously saved this Inspiration Photo~~link directly Below~~which shows a medium-gray "anchor piece"............ (like your anchor piece here is a taupe-gray top, with pale blush-pink polka dots)............ accessorized with navy blue; lime green; and mint green!! So, if I had your (*pretty and very versatile*!!) polka dot top, I'd definitely use YOUR creative Styling Inspiration, J. ............ and I might also TRY to figure-out an outfit, using the specific colors in THIS link, too!!:

I like all the options for different reasons. The gray is a great neutral and goes with anything.
ReplyDeleteI love outfit 2! You look great!
ReplyDeleteI love that top. I own it, too, and I wore it so much that I purchased the same top in three other colors (coral, lime, and the teal blue you have in picture 6). I think I'm a little obsessed!
ReplyDeleteI really love all four looks! I think 3 is my favorite with 1 as a close second because it looks so cute with the pink bubble necklace!
ReplyDeleteI love look three, with the bright pop of color from the red cardigan. I especially like the silhouette of those boot cut jeans. I'm trying to get away from skinny jeans, because I seem to gravitate to them too often, and notice that they've become a staple for me. I would wear that third outfit as often as possible! Too cute.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is look 3 with the red cardigan! It looks stunning on you. :) Also, is this top still available?
ReplyDeleteLove the fourth look and the way the polka dots pop under that dark blazer. Just one question though, why do you talk about "purchasing" the shirt and then clearly list is as a "c/o"? If it's courtesy of Kohl's, you didn't purchase it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sara! I purchased the shirt, and used a gift card left over from a contest about a year ago. So I shopped for and purchased it, but listed c/o because I didn't pay with cash.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jonna! I got the top this summer so you might be able to score it on clearance in the store! It's not online anymore though.
ReplyDeleteLove all four looks but i think the third look is my favorite!!! Great ideas as usual, thanks
ReplyDeleteLove all four looks but i think the third look is my favorite!!! Great ideas as usual, thanks
ReplyDeleteLove the fourth one and how you mixed the burgundy and light purple together. Never would have thought those two colors could work!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all the different way to wear items, it really helps think of different colors/ways i can wear my own clothes. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the 3rd one, with the orange/red cardi. But they all look great!
I like the 1st and the 4th the best... not really sure why though.
ReplyDeleteGreat top! Love all the looks! :)

Thanks for showing a post without skinny jeans. I know skinny jeans are completely hot right now, but I feel like I'm ignoring other great fits that also look great.
