Today's Everyday Fashion: Do the Polka

I'm loving polka dots lately, which is evident by the fact that I keep reaching for them in my closet! Since these two looks were so similar, I decided to show them together. Both looks are a tad "loud" but some days I'm in the mood to wear something fun and playful and these outfits certainly fit the bill for those kinds of days. Are you rocking the polka dot trend this fall? Which look do you like better?

  11. Love polka dots too! Gonna try to recreate this outfit myself.

One question - why don't you ever include the price of your watch? I know it's a gift, but you usually list the prices of other gifts.... I think it's a great example of how you can mix expensive and inexpensive to achieve an overall great outfit. Otherwise, it seems like you're hiding the fact that you're wearing something that wasn't on sale/great deal. Don't mean to over analyze - just curious!

  12. LOL Andrea. I got my watch for Christmas so I have no idea what they paid for it. Would feel rude asking!! :-)

  13. I'm loving polka dots as well!  I think I like your right look the best; it's a little edgier.  The left is too primary-colors-ish for me but still cute!

  14. I love the polka dot trend too. You rock both versions but I especially like the outfit you're wearing on the left. :)

  15. Can you explain, or do you know of any tutorial videos on how you knot your skinny red belt like that? I can't seem to get mine to look right!

  18. Polka dots always remind me of *champagne*............ and *bubbling UP* with happiness!!    I love both looks, but your outfit on the left is particularly pretty/flirty/feminine, i.e., with the three (horizontal) tiers of soft ruffles at the top of your shirt!!

  19. I LOVE the outfit on the right! Everything about it is so unexpected, but somehow it works. I think I would have paired dark skinny jeans to keep focus on the top though. One of your best outfits!

  20. Thanks Sarah! I agree that dark skinny jeans would look great in the outfit on the right!

  21. I love the outfit on the right! I actually just got the same shoes from Express a few weekends ago, I haven't been able to play dress up with them yet but I am glad that you also have them, I know that you will be able to give some inspiration.

  23. You are very talented, I just love your look and how you put it out there for everyone to see and help them find what they're looking for, for an affordable price. Could you tell me what H&M is because I need/want the necklace you're wearing in the picture above? Or where I might be able to find one somewhere else? Thanks in advance!

  24. Thank you so much!! H&M is a Swedish retailer that has select locations across the US, and is adding online shopping in 2012. Here is a link to their website: http://www.hm.com/us/ to look for a store near you. I don't think they will have the necklace anymore, but you could try eBay. Also, here is (kind of) a similar one from another retailer:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Zad-Gold-Tone-Metal-Bib-Necklace-XL-Pick-Turquoise-Orange-Beads-Medallion-/160671653615?_trksid=p4340.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.NPJS%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUA%26otn%3D5%26pmod%3D180687424815%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D4243623760525762198
