Today's Everyday Fashion: Day to Night
I love versatile looks that can go from the office to a night out in a pinch, and this is a great example. With the blazer it could be a great casual Friday look (always check your office dress code), but remove it and you are ready for dinner and drinks. You could also choose a more conservative necklace for day and switch to a statement necklace at night, or even change your shoes to something more party-worthy. Working with a black base (black skinny jeans + black blouse) gives you tons of options that will take you from day to night! What is your favorite way to make the same outfit work for night and day?

Love this look! Going to a party next week and think I'm going to recreate it :-)
ReplyDeleteI would do exactly like you would taking this outfit from day to night. A switch up of some accessories, a change of shoes, and throw on some lipstick and you are good to go! Love this outfit. Heather

ReplyDeleteLOVE this look!! www.pinkandfablife.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteLOVE that max & chloe necklace!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite way is to add some jewelry and change up my shoes ... and usually my bottom piece of clothing :)
Ohhh I love that blazer over your classic black look! I have a pair of black skinny pants from Gap that are my fave and would be perfect for this! I'm always looking for a day-to-night look and this might be my ideal! I work in an office that allows for a lot of creativity, so I can usually have fun with my outfits aka I wore berry colored jeans yesterday with some sky high heels!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! Love it! :-)
ReplyDeletedoes that piperlime jacket still exist? i would love to get it.
ReplyDeleteI've had this photo for at least a year. Also not 100% sure I got it from Piperlime. More like 90% sure. :-)
ReplyDeleteJ, your black jeans look so crisp and new! How do you keep you black jeans from becoming faded and gray?
ReplyDeleteThese jeans have held up SO well! They are more than 2 years old and haven't lost their color or shape. I only wash my jeans one per week, every 3 or 4th wear, and I also never dry them. That's it! Just regular detergent. No special ingredients or anything. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour cropped blazer version is REALLY feminine! Love the layered necklaces. Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteYou nailed this look!!! Good work J!!! I LOVE it!!!!
