Today's Everyday Fashion: The Pink Skirt
I am loving my new pink skirt! It was one of my easiest purchasing decisions, I knew right away this lovely was coming home with me. ;-) I have lots of pairings in mind, but when I saw this picture from Gossip Girl, I decided to give a printed shirt a try first. I like how the neutrals tone down the pink - this could easily be one of my favorite office looks!
Styling tip: Can't decide what to pair with a print? Focus on one color from the print, and pair it with another a piece that will make that color pop. This pink skirt brings out the color in this shirt. Pairing it with a colorful cardigan also does the same trick!

Is it pink or purple? It looks really purple to me!
ReplyDeleteHow did you get it for $35? It looks really great on you, I actually looked at this skirt and the eyelet trench but never ended up buying online because I am not sure what sizes to get.

I would call it magenta! Less pink than Blake's shorts, but pink nonetheless. :-)
ReplyDeleteTeresa, I did a post about buying this skirt a few weeks ago. I bought it during President's Day weekend and that was the price of the skirt at the time. I think Limited runs really true to size!
ReplyDeleteI agree this looks great on you and the color is lovely. I have broad shoulders and busty I sometimes have a hard time wearing prints as a top I think it makes me look bigger. Hopefully one day you can do a series on different body types.
ReplyDeleteThanks Aggie! My makeover show will feature other body types. That is one big reason why I'm so excited about it!! It's difficult if not impossible to feature other body types on the blog, b/c I don't have any "models" at my disposal.
ReplyDeleteHere's a link to the post where I talk about buying this skirt:
