Today's Everyday Fashion: Winter Wishes






































I don't really miss the ice, snow and cold up north - but I do sometimes wish I could wear awesome outfits like this one! (maybe we'll get a cold streak soon?) My outfit is based loosely on this page from Lucky magazine. I didn't copy any one outfit specifically, but instead pulled out a bunch of  monochromatic pieces from my closet until I found a combo that worked. It's funny, I love color but I also love super-neutral looks like this one. What's your preference - are you team color or team monochromatic?

    Love monochromatic and loving this look! I'm finding that color is peeking my interest, and I'd love to learn how to infuse it into my wardrobe. And on a side note, the 30 for 30 Challenge is so difficult, and I miss the rest of my clothing and shoes. Your post on it did have some very viable points of view, but I'm going to try and hang in for another week. One day at a time.

    Seriously. Don't wish for colder days! Boston is miserable right now at 26 degrees! All of my outfits must go with my Sorrels or my Hunter boots! Heels are unfortunately not an option! It's sad, really.

    I can't pick a team, so I'll root for both color and monochromatic!! Great outfit!

    Kris, yes, one day at a time! I encourage you to stick with it and see how it goes! If you find yourself dreading getting dressed though don't feel bad if you have to stop. At least you tried! :-)

    Haha Bianca, I know it cracks me up too! I don't wear my hair up often for a few reasons. I take my photos in one big batch every week so I don't usually think about doing anything with my hair. I also have extremely thick hair that is a. hard to deal with and b. hurts like crazy if I wear it up for longer than a couple hours. I need help in the hair category though! I'm good at clothes and that's about it :-)
