Top look: I loved the cobalt/yellow/mint color combo from the inspiration photo so I tried it with my own clothes. I'm also holding my Easter present - a buttery soft light yellow Coach bag I found for a steal at the Coach outlet. I'm fickle about purses, so the jury is out on whether or not I'm keeping it. (Trying it on with different outfits in my room seems like the best way to decide!) I was originally wanting a blush purse a la my shopping picks below, but the yellow is tempting.
Bottom look: Here's another way to wear this blazer (and show your team spirit). I wore the second outfit to the Orlando Magic game a few weeks ago!
Which outfit do you like better? Would you rather have a light yellow or a blush handbag?

ReplyDeletegorgeous color combo!

I love the yellow purse. But, I seem to be all about some yellow here lately. I like it because I think it adds more of a POP than the blush. Matter of fact, I would have carried the yellow purse with the 2nd outfit just to add another pop of color. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe colors on the second outfit flow perfect. I am loving the royal blue, the printed top, and the black. Definitely a keeper.
ReplyDeleteBetween the bags, I would pick the yellow one. It would go with a lot more outfits. But, I am loving the blush. I would have never thought about a blush bag, but it would look great with some outfits
blush bag.... I like the Anthropology best, then Cambridge Satchel. I am not a yellow person.
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of a yellow girl, so I vote no on the bag. I love the second look for the Magic game! Stylish with a little hit of sporty!

I love the first outfit! I would use the yellow bag more, but the blush one is pretty! Tough choice! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteLove the use of color here! That bold blue looks great against the bright yellow and the mint pants are unexpected yet it flows effortlessly. Love for Spring!
ReplyDeletelove the second look and loving the purses you've shown! blush is so pretty

I'll buy that purse if you decide you don't want it. ;-) Love the color combo!!
ReplyDeleteSuper fun color mix! Oh and the little pink satchel is just adorbs!

I love both looks! They are so different but both cute. I love how the colors all flow together in the first picture. But the second is so effortless but chic.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the outlet stores?! They are amazing! I usually don't like yellow but that bag is really cute and it is very in this Spring. The blush it pretty too and will be a more timeless color that you will still be able to wear through all seasons.

I think a blush handbag would be a nice, unexpected mini-pop of color. I never would have thought to put cobalt and mint with yellow. It looks really cute on you.

I love your blog!

Cobalt and yellow has to be my all time favorite color combination, right up there with black and white!! I love this blazer, sadly for my awkwardly long arms and straight shoulders, F21 blazers never fit me well! I love their colrs and styles too and sigh when I see them:-)
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a wonderful day!

Love both looks, so hard to choose a favorite! As for the handbags, I think I need the J.Crew one, it has the perfect size for me and I love the structure and soft color!

Pink, or blush, isn't really my color so I like the soft yellow. I'm not a fan of soft colors so I'd actually go for a bright color! Like I did with my yellow purse from Francesca's (on the blog today). I love the bottom rocker look! The cobalt and jeans go together so well.
ReplyDeleteI actually like look number two better... But I tend to gravitate towards black and white pieces. Gorgeous blazer!

I have to ask. Who takes your photo?
ReplyDeleteThe colors you're wearing in this look are gorgeous! Especially that blue/purple blazer.

I have to say I like both outfits. They're completely different so it's hard to pick one over the other. Cobalt blue is a favorite of mine and it's fun to wear it with other shades of blue or with black and white like you've done. As for the bag, I think I'd pick blush. But only because I feel like you could wear it with more.

Second outfit! Still not a fan of mint. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love both your outfits~~(i.e., each for completely different occasions)!! Sometimes having a blazer in a bright primary color, (e.g., cobalt blue or scarlet red)............ or in a bright secondary color, (e.g., royal purple or emerald green)............ seems like it's almost like having another neutral blazer, because a bright blazer............ "goes with" SO many different outfits, form dressy-to-casual, (exactly as Above)!!
ReplyDeleteI can see how your (*quality Coach*!!) yellow leather handbag might quite smoothly transition from Spring/Summer to Fall, i.e., with, in the Fall, maybe a pale camel leather jacket + other pieces, in Fall's vibrant "leaf-tone colors"............ then, in the Winter, with a heathered gray tweed jacket + Winter white pieces or other Winter-weight neutral pieces!! Although I love ALL pastels, (particularly pink!!), if I had to choose BETWEEN pink and yellow for meetings/conferences----i.e., as to which color denoted more strength/resolve/ambition----I'd probably have to "go with" yellow, you know, J.; (but that's just me)!!
I do! :-) I use a tripod and self-timer.
ReplyDeleteJyoti there is nothing awkward about you - just beautiful! :-)
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh I have that same blazer! AND I have been struggling with it since it is kind of cut straight so does not do much to show my small waist (I'm a pear shape) any suggestions? maybe a belt underneath?
ReplyDeleteI ordered a cobalt blue jacket last week and it came today. Mine has studs on it and some zippers. I love it! Imagine my surprise when I came to your blog and that is part of your post. Great! I'm going to wear mine with some yellow skinny jeans and I bought a stripped t from eloquii . Got it for a "mint" since they are going out of business. I got the inspiration from the color combinations from your blog! BTW, I kept seeing your Michael Kors bag and I finally went to his website and oh man...I was in love...I found the Large Hamilton Tote and have been lusting after it for a long, long time. Finally, my husband saw me watching video reviews on YouTube and said, "Please order it!" I did and I have NEVER paid that much for a bag before but I have to say I'm in love. I can't imagine finding a better bag. It smells, looks, and feels divine. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteJust thought you would like to know there is a FB page that has used one of your pictures and is linking back to their site and not yours, so basically stealing your photo. Search for "Fashionable" on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteI like the 2nd look better. It's more my style. Too much colour in one outfit scares the crap out of me! I'm not ready for that yet.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tiffany. I left them a note but it probably won't do any good. Gotta love the interwebs!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love everything about the second look! & the pink Botkier purse is to die for!

I prefer the second look, but I'd love the first if it were just two colors. I think I'd prefer a blush bag.

Yeeelllooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww! Yellow is a neutral in my book. It goes with everything, being a primary color. Yellow & Navy, Yellow & Gray, Yellow & Green, yellow & Turquoise, Yellow & Mint. Love, Obsessed.. I bought a yellow cross body last year and I wore it with nearly everything last spring & summer. You will not grow to regret that purchase, I promise! It adds the perfect pop of sunshine to any outfit.
ReplyDeleteI like it however I think I would love it with a maxi skirt instead of jeans
ReplyDeleteI'd choose the yellow definitely! I think it would go with more plus it looks nice with your skin tone.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love that look! I have that exact same necklace and I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what to wear it with! It never crossed my mind to wear it with my mint skinnies! I've been on the search too for some work-appropriate clothes for me to compromise with it being warmer weather with spring, but not showing too much skin. In an office, you can imagine I can't wear shorts and I can wear tank tops unless covered with shrugs. Who wants to wear a shrug all the time?? Not I! So I found a cheap, adorable, and best of all fits well top that I think would work well! I'm still on the search for more, but I purchased this top in the color Antique Coin and thinking about going back later to get the Xavier Navy! What do you think? The color appears a little less severe in person. http://www.target.com/p/merona-women-s-boatneck-top-colorblock-colors/-/A-14337575#prodSlot=medium_1_3&term=merona+colorblock
ReplyDeleteI love and want all these blush colored purses =) Thank you for posting!
ReplyDeleteYellow bag for outfit 1. But I would buy a blush purse b4 a yellow one. :-)
