I never seem to tire of pairing my two favorite colors together - bright cobalt and electric blue. (See it in an office look here.) My inspiration photo convinced me I should try these colors yet again - this time in a dressy shorts look with low heels and a new necklace. I plan to wear this out to brunch, or for a casual dinner on a hot night. Would you wear bright blues?

Yes I would! Just did it this week. Cobalt blue maxi dress with a bright teal blue jacket. Your shirt is reminding me of a shirt I have that I may be able to pair with the maxi as well. I have shoes that color, but didn't think of them. May have to try that next time. :-)
ReplyDeleteVery cute!! Love the shirt and shorts. I may have gone with a nude pump though. Love your site!
ReplyDeleteI really like this all blue look, I need some more blouses like this one for summer time! Please check out my Friday Link Up and enter one of your posts for next week!

I like the outfit but hate the half tucked shirt. Looks sloppy. I'm for full tuck or no tuck.
ReplyDeleteLove the color blocking look of this outfit! I have worn something similar with a cobalt blue pencil skirt!

Thank you so much! The waves are natural. I add Loreal's Sprnging Curls when my hair is done air drying to reduce some frizz but that's it. :-)
ReplyDeleteLoving all the different hues of blue. Don't forget to enter my stella & Dot giveaway.

I was thinking that I remembered a similar look from you! I loved it the first time and I still love it here! I adore these colors together.
ReplyDeleteI bought a pair of cobalt shorts from Banana Republic's Factory store last summer and I absolutely love them! I wore them all summer and plan on doing so again this summer.
ReplyDeleteLove Love love! The way your necklace ties everything together is perfect.

Would love to see you write a post on seasonal color analysis.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely yes! I'm thinking cobalt may be the new black because it is extremely versatile. Blue is a great color and seems to go well with any skin tone. Love your pairing of the two shades.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue! Have you worn the J Crew shorts before? I've heard they're great and want to try them, but I can't decide which inseam to get. Because I'm on the tall side (5' 8"), I'm thinking the 3" might be kind of short for me.
ReplyDeleteWhile I look at the lovely outfit in your Inspiration photo; and also at your gorgeous outfit, too, I almost feel as if I'm............ gazing out *across the ocean blue*, J. ............ i.e., because the Outfit Vibes are so cool-blue and serene!!
ReplyDeleteYour new Stella & Dot Maldives Necklace----(with #150 beads of reconstituted turquoise; green-hued beads; and faceted golden beads)----is just SO pretty!! I particularly like the necklace's faceted golden beads; and also............ (right before the bolder curb chain at the back)............ the miniscule *squares of shiny gold* in the delicate, vintage-inspired, oval-link chains. On "Zoom In," those tiny little squares are very shiny............ i.e., all of the RADIANT golden touches in your Maldives Necklace, J., are simply like----*sparkling sunlight on water*!!
I have seen a lot of blue/green combos lately and I'm loving them. Your look is very summery!

I'll have to try that this summer, although, I don't think my hair will turn out looking as good as yours, ha! Thanks for the tip!
