Exploring my options! (Shirt is light pink.) |
Believe it or not, this look started with a J.Crew inspiration photo involving emerald jeans and leopard shoes. When I tried it with my clothes, it looked way too busy, so I switched the bottom to plain black jeans (my favorite), and also blue jeans with black or brown shoes. I love taking one idea and seeing how many different options you have, and then choosing the best. Which look is your favorite?
Shirt: Forever 21, $18 (Note: this shirt appears to be in stock, but I had some trouble getting checkout to process with it in my cart, so you might not be able to buy it online.)
Sweater: American Eagle, old (similar)
Necklace: JcPenney, $15
Black jeans: Gap, $35 (similar)
Purse: Karen Millen, gift (similar, vegan)
Adorable! The black pants look is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteOh I would have loved to see the inspiration photo! Loving the black pants look!

Love this look! Doing black and white polka dots under a gray sweater woudl of been too matchy match for me but the light pink is too cute. on my computer, it kind of looks like a light baby peach color. either way it is nice to add some color that looks kind of springy to my wardrobe especially in the winter. would change the shoes to maybe my black riding boots since i live by Canada but love the heels look for you in warm Florida
ReplyDeleteYou had me at polka dots! Sooo cute!!

I like the black pants, but the middle look with the jeans is kind of a fun mix of casual on bottom and dressier on the top. I love any type of button up under a v-neck sweater. So preppy! Heather
ReplyDeleteCute outfit.I adore the shirt layered under the sweater and i love the caped shoe.

I - NEED - THAT - SHIRT! :) ASAP!!! :) Love it, love it, love it, also all of the outfits look really nice! My favourite is #1, then #3 for a bit more casual look! But #1 is perfection :) I've been loving polka dots recently - yes, it has EVERYTHING to do with you and you "obsession" with them that you transferred to me :) I bought 2 cute polka dot shirts recently, not button downs nor blouses, 3-4 sleeve cotton jersey shirts with ties on the neckline that could be tied in a bow on the side, one is light gray with black dots and the other brown with yellow-ish dots... But I still need polka dot blouse... Basicaly the first outfit I plan to wear the grey one in is with the grey v-neck sweater just like yours :) I also need sparkly necklace like yours :)
ReplyDeleteI love this shirt and love it with the blank pants and heels!
ReplyDeleteThe first two looks are my favorite. I'm not a fan of the tan accessories in the third look.

The first and third looks are my favorite, though the first one wins by far! It looks GREAT on you specifically, but I just love that polka dotted top with the sweater over it. Very preppy, but the heels make it trendy as well. I'm a receptionist, and I'd probably wear that first look to work, only swapping out the black skinnies for a black cropped pant. :)

love the 3rd option... but i tend to lean towards brown anyway...
ReplyDeletevery cute!

First look is my favorite! Maybe go with a different sweater on the second one - a chunkier one? They're all great, though!

I searched all day Saturday for a polka dot blouse like the third one you posted up there. Shopping can sometimes be so easy if you know exactly what you're looking for, but it in this case it was impossible. I had too specific of an idea of what I wanted and I didn't want to settle so I left the mall empty-handed. Thank you for letting me know where I can find it!!

The black jeans look the best, IMO. I just recently bought black jeans and I can't stop wearing them! They're super versatile, go with everything and give me a slimming look that I love. That whole outfit is super cute on you, I love the pink polka dots!
ReplyDeleteIm absolutely in love with these mixes! You did a great job. The first look is great as a work outfit and the other two are sweet for a lunch date. I just made my own outfit like this just yesterday for church.
ReplyDeleteVery cute polka dot top! Your first look has my vote with the black skinnies and pumps.
ReplyDeleteYou are just to cute, girl!

I really love polka dots, and how for a lighter and girlier feel. And it's great how you can wear the same shirt so many times but every time it's different because the print is so versatile.
