I love trying new trends and the latest "graphic sweater" craze is no exception. I instantly fell in love when I spotted this fox sweater online, but I waited too long to visit a store and it wound up selling out. I tracked one down a couple weeks ago when reader was kind enough to give me the style # (find it at the link below). That's all I needed to call Old Navy and order one to be sent to me from a neighboring town. I think this outfit would also look great without the light pink polka dot shirt, but ultimately this is how I wound up wearing it. Are you wearing the graphic sweater trend yet?
Sweater: Old Navy, $16 sold out online
Shirt: Forever 21, $18
Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington, $199
Love the sweater! Too bad it's sold out online.

So cute and fun! I love the polka dot blouse layered under it too.
ReplyDeleteWhat luck! I got this exact sweater for Christmas & was wondering how I should wear it. I love the way you styled it.
ReplyDeleteI have this sweater too! Love it. I wear it with Old Navy marshmellow cords and tall brown boots. :)
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that this is one style I don't really like. The graphic sweaters. BUT there is a graphic Tshirt I do want to get.
ReplyDeleteI don't have an animal graphic sweater yet. I would love a penguin one (since they are my favorite!) but I also love the bow ones and the sheep!

ReplyDeleteYes! I have the sheep one you posted above as well as a few other fun ones...although I didn't buy any really expensive ones as I doubt they will stay in-fashion for long. I recently did a post on them! :)

I just picked this up at my local Old Navy about two weeks ago. It seems to run rather big in my opinion.. I had to get an XS and it still was just slightly bigger than I would've wanted. Old Navy is so confusing to me. Their pants seem to run so small, and their tops seem to run so big. I'm normally about a 4 in bottoms, but have to go up to an 8 at Old Navy, and even then the pants only come down to about two inches above my ankles. Is the fit weird for you too, J?
ReplyDeleteReally love graphic sweaters, can't believe that cute one your wearing is only 16 dollars, that is such a great buy! I have been looking for an inexpensive novelty sweater for a while and this one is so cute!

I've only tried on one pair of pants at Old Navy in the past year and they definitely fit funny (small and then some) so I haven't tried again. Their tops are generally pretty small too, but this sweater was clearly meant to be "oversized" even in the length alone. I have a camel polka dot sweater from there, but it's true to size, and all the other tops I have are definitely true to junior's sizing as well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun sweater! I like how you've styled it. I'm in a creative, but professional field, so I think it could totally work this way.
ReplyDeleteYou look great my graphic sweater is on it's way I cannot wait :)

I love the sweater! Old Navy also had a really cute one with sheep on it!
ReplyDeletei am in love with this outfit and your blazer! i have been on the hunt for one in that color but have no luck. I don't want one that looks like it belongs with a women's dress suit, but more dark and casual like yours. Guess I'm going to H&M!

LOVING graphic animal sweaters this year! So sad I missed that fox one, Target had one as well that was just as adorable!
ReplyDeleteI went straight to the F21 website and bought that bow sweater in the first column on the bottom row. Soooooo cute.
ReplyDeleteYay! I bought that fox sweater too and just wasn't sure how to wear it. This is great!
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit. Just not sure about buying F21 clothing because I have heard some things about the quality and the fit on them.

Love this look.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! I went to the forever21 website to check out the polka dot blouse you have on...it says it's pink and black, it doesn't look pink on you. Is it pale pink or more of a cream? Thanks! Regardless, it looks great on you :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the second look :) I still haven't tried this trend yet - still hesitating over it. One of those looks that aren't a favorite of mine so I'll probably pass. But you nailed the outfit!!

You look so amazing. Loving this trend. I have experimented with it here: http://coverupchic.blogspot.ca/2012/10/casual-fall-attire-printed-sweater.html I think it is so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI bought this sweater a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! I've worn it with jeans and also with leggings and suede boots. It's so comfy.
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is cute! I wanted to get it for my mom because her nickname was Foxy in high school but it was sold out online when I went to buy it :( I love how you styled it!

Thanks Meg! My polka dot shirt is light pink. Looks more ivory when you photograph it for some reason!
ReplyDeleteI like the 'Limited' sweater - very cute.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI bought the lamb one a couple of weeks ago...just couldn't resist how cute it was and how great it would look with skinny jeans or jeggings. Glad to see that you have it posted on here.
ReplyDeleteWow! A fox AND dots? my life is now complete!
ReplyDeleteI know I must sound like a kid when I say, "I just l.o.v.e. animals!!"; but with your American Eagle Double-Reindeer Fair Isle Sweater of 12/24/12, and *now* with your Old Navy Fox Sweater here............ well, not only are your two Animal-Graphic Sweaters *very* on-trend and pretty............ but 'bet your nieces and nephews will also just love them, too, J., (i.e., if they haven't seen them yet, that is)!!
ReplyDeleteModCloth's Friends of the Forest *Intarsia*-Knit Sweater with it's antlered buck; spotted fawn; fox; squirrel; and hare on the front----with a small (*cute*!!) circular cutout on the upper back----seems like it would also be One Of Those Sweaters That's "In Style FOREVER," too............ i.e., DEPENDING ON which type of tank/shirt; jeans/pants or skirt; shoes; purse; watch; and jewelry it's styled with!!:

ReplyDeleteLove love love this look! I have very similar pieces at home. Can't wait to copycat!
ReplyDeleteI am SO glad you posted this!! I had my eye on the Madewell sweaters with the sheep but they sadly were out of my price range for non essential clothes. I was so thrilled to see the sheep sweater here!! I immediately ordered it and it came in the mail the other day :) And the added bonus? It actually fits really well. I'm a fairly new reader of J's Everyday and I'm loving it! Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteLove that Ellie! So glad I could help and welcome to the blog! :-)
