Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day with your friends and family! I am bummed to not be with my family in Kansas this year, but feel very blessed to have amazing friends who have welcomed me into their homes yesterday and today! For the occasion, this plaid shirt felt festive and I dressed it up with a sparkly necklace and heels (to make it more feminine), and will switch to boots when my feet get tired. What are you wearing this year for Christmas?

Merry Christmas! I love the plaid on Christmas! I went with a Norwegian sweater.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, J!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! I wore the plaid ruffle colored shirt from the Gap with skinny jeans and red ballet flats. Love your outfit too! Super cute!
ReplyDeleteCollared not colored. Oooops! Auto correct working against me! ;$
DeleteYay, happy birthday, Jesus :)
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing a super-soft emerald scoopneck sweater from Old Navy, a sparkly black scarf from San Antonio's Mexican marketplace, herringbone trousers, black boots, emerald earrings, black jacket, and a lemon-yellow small purse.
While at home when family came over, we always wear our pajamas. Went to a family gathering of my brother in law's family so I wear dark denim skinny jeans, velvet flats, and a dark green silk like (don't know the material) tunic with a black velvet jacket with crystal buttons. Simple fake diamond studs, watch, and a two tone bracelet. I loved it!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Jesus! I was reminded today through an act of forgiveness that without Him nothing can be done! (Philippians 4:13)
This is silly but the crystal buttons on the jacket always remind me of those old doorknobs that you would think were diamonds when you were a kid!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I want the shoes you have in the second picture. Are they real comfortable for daily wearing? I'm a teacher so I'm on my feet a lot.
ReplyDelete*Merry Christmas*, J.!! I just love your casual, (ivory-jeans-softened) "take" here on Red And Green For Christmas............ and your sparkly necklace with your plaid shirt, too!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, on your Stella & Dot website, I think that two of the *very on-trend* metal Bib Necklaces............ (i.e., the Alexandria Necklace, a shiny, white-bronze plated, brass Bib Necklace, made up of hinged trefoils--------and the Sierra Necklace, a multistrand Bib Necklace, made up of over #100 textured, 12K Gold-finished open brass discs~~~are they vintage metal washers, J.??)............ both almost look like hardware, but hardware which is *sophisticated and fluid*, though!! In a very positive way, I associate PLAID shirts with HARDWARE Stores and CRAFT Stores; so I honestly could see how those two particular Stella & Dot necklaces............ m.i.g.h.t. also really look *nice* with plaid shirts, too!!
Marry Christmas J! Hope you had a wonderful day, and I wish you many blessings in the future :) Very nice outfit, you look lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI'll have to get back to you on what I'm wearing for Christmas b/c Orthodox Christians celebrate it on January the 7th (which is Dec. 25th by the Julian calender) :) Last year I spent it in Vienna with a friend (not at home with family b/c it was too god of a travel deal to miss it) this year I'll be with my parents and my cat :)
love the plaid shirt :)

Vicky, I'm in love with these boots because the heel is fairly high but they are sooooo comfy! It's a combo of the platform and the soft suede that make them really wearable.
ReplyDeleteI love your ensemble. I love wearing plaid/tartan this time of year. It fits in so nicely with the season. I wore a plaid dress to a dinner party, here is a pic: http://coverupchic.blogspot.ca/2012/12/winter-dinner-party-attire-plaid-taffeta.html
ReplyDeleteAdorable outfit! I loved that you shared Scripture to show people what Christmas is really about!:)

Great pants J! Just ordered myself a pair in green.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I was just thinking... with all the clothes that you have, it would be great if you did a post about how you organize your closet / wardrobe! Just give to us better ideas how to organize and not double purchase similar items!
I have that top! And I wore it with a similar jacket on Christmas day :)
