Today's Everyday Fashion: Christmas Cheer

Buddy the Elf might tell you the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear - but I think wearing red peplum and sequins takes the cake! I wore the green jeans outfit while hosting a Christmas dinner with my friends last weekend. It was purposely tongue-in-cheek (we joked that I looked like an elf), and I love showing my Christmas cheer throughout the season in over-the-top ensembles like both of these. Do you prefer understated or over-the-top holiday looks?

  1. Understated for me! You found some really great peplum choices! I'm actually a bit hesitant to delve into this trend because of the fit of the peplum. I'm not sure what body type you have but do you find that it enlarges hips? I don't really need any help in that area ;)

    1. Same here, and the other thing sbout peplums is that if you are at all tall or long waisted, it looks kind of maternity. I am 6 ft tall and can't find one that works for me.

  2. I prefer over the top looks only because I find Christmas to be a more jolly and casual holiday spent with those you love the most :)

  4. Although some of my friends try to cover up some of their red and/or green;  so that their overall Christmas outfit isn't "too Christmas Tree -y"............ I personally just *LOVE* the red and/or green color combos myself!!    Most particularly, I like how you've styled your classy Red Peplum And Sequins Outfit!!    You have  *S.T.A.R.S.*, (i.e., your New York & Co. sequin skirt!!)............ IN............ your Red Peplum And Sequins Outfit!!    And you have *S.N.O.W.*, (i.e., your white Red Dress Boutique Statement Necklace!!)............ ON............ your  *f.u.n.!!*  Red Peplum And Green Jeans Outfit, J.!!
