Stafford & Matt's Wedding

Thought I would share some pictures of the wedding I was in last month! I had an absolute blast at this wedding. It was my first time being a bridesmaid but if this is how wedding weekends usually go, sign me up because I had the best time ever. That's right, I am available to be in your wedding, even if we've never met. I have absolutely nothing to offer in return other than a wedding gift and being really fun to hang out with.

Joking aside, I could not be happier for Stafford and Matt! It was a great weekend and you can see more photos from the wedding here.

At the end of the night, they handed out sunglasses, glow sticks and grilled cheese sandwiches. Epic weekend!!

  7. What an absolutely *lovely* Wedding!!    I've been a bridesmaid twice in my life;  and----(unlike some bridesmaids' dresses!)----I honestly could see how you might be able to actually wear THIS simply-styled, but elegantly understated, black-and-white bridesmaid's dress *again*............ i.e., maybe even styled in more than a few ways, (if you'd want to, that is)!!
May Your Friends Stafford and Matt Have A Long And Happy Married Life, J!!

  8. Did you assist in picking out these bride's maid's dresses? Love them, they are so stylish. You should do an outfit post where you restyle this dress for an event or cocktails :)

  10. Teresa, no unfortunately I was not able to go up to Atlanta when they tried on the dresses. They were also close to $300 a piece!! :-) I loved the fabric and the color scheme but unfortunately mine was a tad too small in the rib cage and pretty uncomfortable. I also liked the top half of the dress on me, but I NEVER wear empire waist dresses, as they are really not flattering for my body type. Hard to see in the picture, but I looked like I was hiding a pregnancy most of the day. ;-) I think for dressing 9 body types with one dress this was perfect, I just wouldn't wear it again.

  17. Let me just say tell your naysayers, Judging Judys, etc. to shut it up. It's your life and frankly you did not owe anyone an answer. This is a fashion blog, and even if it wasn't, it's nobody's business but yours. I wish you well and a fantastic life. It is hard to go out on your own and I am sure that there are many women (me included) who are in similar situations and may not be strong enough or ready enough to move out of their marriage. Again, I wish you well and pray for whatever healing you may need.

  19. J-- I am a religious reader of your blog -- so imagine my surprise when I read this post on a sorority sister of mine's wedding.  Small world!  You all looked beautiful.

  22. You would never know by the photos that the dress was an improper fit, you look great :) Wow... I have never been in a wedding, I had no idea bride's maids dresses were so expensive! Yikes :) At least you all look beautiful.
