Today's Everyday Fashion: Salty

We all know that even the most fabulous fashionistas don't feel like dressing to the nines all the time, especially when we are tired, not feeling well, or in a rush! We all need outfits that are comfortable and practical, but I believe that even those outfits can be interesting and cute. Today's look is an example. Yesterday I got up at 4am, spent four hours in the car, six hours on our friend's boat in the Gulf, got way too much sun, and I was exhausted. But it was my awesome friend Colleen's birthday party at her house that night and I didn't want to miss it for the world! My hair was probably still a bit salty, but I threw on this really comfy shirt from MJR Sales and balanced out the volume on top by wearing slim shorts and was ready to go! What do you throw on when you aren't feeling your best?

Occasion: Birthday party
Shirt: Moda c/o MJR Sales, $20 (they have two available!)
Shorts: American Eagle, $35
Shoes: Guess via DSW, $21
Purse: Juicy Couture via Neiman Marcus Last Call, $115
Necklaces: Stella & Dot

What size did you get the Moda shirt in?  I've never bought anything so I don't know what I would be.

  2. Ashley, I usually get a size 0 or XS in shirts, but since they only had a S I went with that! It fits great.

  5. Cute top! I have a hard time with flowy tops, but by adding the skinnier bottoms it really works.  Plus, by adding the wedges it helps even out the proportions.

I definitely don't look like this when I am not feeling it!

  6. Love this outfit!  My go-to summer look when I'm not feeling so hot- definitely shorts and a cute top :)

  7. I clicked on the link for the shirt, since I love it, but a different shirt came up.  Does that mean the last two already sold?

  8. Yes, the last two are sold out. MJR Sales gets new shipments almost daily and they tend to get items 1-2 at a time, over the course of many months so it's very possible they will have it again at some point!

  9. Honestly? When I'm not feeling it I'm all about a pair of jean shorts and a tank top. And I'm at home? Old maternity pants and a t-shirt. HOT.

You on the other hand look adorable!

  10. Do you know the name of the shoe you are wearing? I love them, and have scoured the internet for them with no luck.

  12. Oh darling you look like a Movie Star for the gulf coast area! Or maybe the Alabama parts just attracted a weirder breed.  I LOVE the versatility of those shoes, I'm always on the hunt for something similar, but not TOO tall. I'm already 5'9 and not trying to dwarf my man. :)

  13. I know what you mean
Sat I helped son1 move furniture into his house and didn't want to be
    that frumpy college mom.
I wore a pair of boyfriend jeans with a cute stripe shirt, white Jack Purcell's and an awesome belt.
