Today's Everyday Fashion: I'm on a Boat
I had WAY too much fun yesterday. Our friends Eric & Stacy took us out on their boat to celebrate Eric's birthday. I swear it felt more like my birthday though because it was so much fun!! They live on the Gulf side of Florida, and we spent most of the day in the middle of the ocean in waist-deep perfectly clear water, hunting for sand dollars, conch shells and we even saw a small shark! We also docked and dined at an adorable restaurant for lunch - it really was the perfect day. I meant to take pictures, but when you are having that much fun - you forget! :-)
About my outfits: The first picture is what I wore for our 2-hour drive down to the Gulf. Once we got on the boat, I took off my shorts and added a hat (the cover-up is a bit short, so I wanted extra coverage with the shorts for the road trip). For the swimming parts of the day I sported my new bathing suit from Love Me Chic. I am totally in love with this bathing suit, probably one of the most flattering and comfy I have ever owned!
Occasion: Boating and swimming in the Gulf
Cover-up: TJ Maxx, $17 (this is actually a size L shirt that I converted into a cover-up)
Shorts: Abercrombie, $50
Flip flops: Rainbow, $40
Hat: TJ Maxx, $13
Swim suit: c/o Love Me Chic, $49

ReplyDeleteI want a new cover-up! Time to change up my white Ralph Lauren terry cloth halter one :)
ReplyDeleteI bought a VERY similar cover up, actually a large tank too, for a cover-up from Marshalls!! I'm sure any suit would look amazing on you as well!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic in any of the 3 pics. The swim suit is so cute!!

ReplyDeleteI love it! You make it look extremely easy to put on different type of outfit using the same things for different occasions!
ReplyDeleteJ, I have to know... What is your workout routine?
ReplyDeleteI talk about it in this post: http://www.jseverydayfashion.com/2010/09/my-fitness-story.html
ReplyDeleteSomeone snapped a pic with their phone, so I tweeted the picture this afternoon! You can see it here: http://twitpic.com/5dzrp8
ReplyDeleteYou are stunning!! I was thinking about you the other day when I saw Jennifer Aniston on the new cover of Marie Claire with her new bobbed haircut and she looks more beautiful than ever! Have you thought about cutting your hair like that? I think you would totally rock it! (not that I don't already love your hair the way it is) : )
ReplyDeleteLove that top - it's a great shirt and cover up!! Three cheers for multi-tasking clothing!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kimberly! I agree that Jennifer looks great with her haircut, but my hair is about 20x thicker than hers so I can't do a bob. Just makes me look like a mushroom. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love this versatile little shirt!
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing how to wear it
Brett
Love this whole look!
ReplyDeleteWow you're in amazing shape!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great nautical look - and it's such a popular trend right now! The navy & white stripes are only enhancing by the small red detailing Another great nautical suit is the Binded Tab Bandeau by Cole of California. While the design features polka dots instead of stripes, the red embellishments and little scoop tabs add a nautical effect!
