Today's Everyday Fashion: The Comfort Zone

This is one of those looks that I will throw on to wear pretty much anywhere - to run errands, have a lunch meeting, or even a casual dinner. It includes so many of my favorite items from my closet - white jeans, a turquoise necklace, and my favorite wedges.  It's an outfit I definitely feel the most comfortable in, especially when I'm not in the mood for a complex or "loud" outfit. Tell me - what do you wear on days when you're just not feeling fashionable?

  2. I love that shirt!! I usually wear a looong shirt/dress looking outfit of that purple color too for casual looks, with a grey pair of leggings. :)

  3. One thing that I've noticed with fashion these days is the dominance of fashion jewelry.  I love the necklace you're wearing in this photo, and in others, but what how do you think you should style fine jewelry?  I have a necklace my boyfriend got me, and I wear it everyday.  I feel like fashion necklaces are gorgeous, but I feel strange wearing both, or taking my everyday necklace off. How would you style fine jewelry with fashion jewelry?

  4. I can't afford fine jewelry -  the only piece I have is my wedding ring. I personally stay away from wearing other "fake" rings, but otherwise I pile on the costume jewelry. Costume jewelry is so good these days though, and so many people wear it, I doubt many people could tell the difference so I say wear them together. But only if you are comfortable with it - confidence and feeling good are the key above anything else!

  7. Mine is either sundress/sandals, or shorts, t, sandals plus jewelry.  I can't imagine how you run errands in Central FL in jeans.  I'm on the West Coast of FL, and when I was shopping today (Ross, TJM) everyone was in shorts or dresses.  Unless I'm running errands on my way home from work, you'll never see me in pants in the summer.

  8. Kristi, I also wear shorts and sundresses for errands, this is just ONE example of what I wear, and it of course totally depends on what the weather is like day!

  9. My "go-to outfits" centers around my impossibly old, boyfriend fit, gray Forever 21 T-shirt. I pair it with EVERYTHING: dark jeans, white jeans, linen pants, some silky, elastic LOFT skirts. Top it off with big necklaces, and you are good to go!

  11. I've been living in my slouchy skinny jeans from AE...  They were just right to wear with boots in the winter and are the perfect rolled up crop for warm weather.  I've also got a great collection of scoop neck tees from Gap that are easy to dress up or down.  My new summer favorite is a comfy knit tank dress.  I'm getting quite the collection now from Gap, Gap Outlet, J. Crew Factory, Loft, Target and H&M.  And of course I'm getting plenty of great ideas on how to add some pizzazz to those outfits from you, J!
