Today's Everyday Fashion: Scrapbook Originals

"Michie" dress

Today's Everyday Fashion is a special edition! The folks at Scrapbook Originals asked me to style a few of their pieces into cute outfits and I wanted to share the photos with you today. This adorable LA-based brand is sold at specialty boutiques and department stores such as Macy's and Nordstrom, but you can also buy their pieces directly from their Facebook page! I love the African print they use, plus tons of lace, bold hardware and other amazing details. This is definitely not your average line of clothes, and everything pictured is under $100. Check out the shopping section on their Facebook page by clicking here, and then click "New Items" to shop these pieces.

Please note: none of the Scrapbook Originals clothes in this post are mine. I borrowed them to take these photos, and then sent all of them back!

  10. I love the pattern/fabric of the Michie and Kami; very summer resort.  What a shame that you didn't get to keep any.

  16. Love them all!!!  One thing I've noticed is that they put "big" tags on the backs of clothing that either shows through or itch like crazy.  I almost always cut them out.  Do you ever find that a problem?

Vicki, the tags seem to be part of the design - they are really pretty. But I think I would remove it (carefully, without damaging the shirt) from the shirt in the second picture!

  22. I guess I'm alone.  I think the Michie dress is horrible.  It looks like it's caught in your underwear.  But then you look closer and notice that it's supposed to be that way and now it looks like a bib instead.  No thanks.

The rest of them are pretty cute though.

  23. I absolutely love your blog. In a lot of weighs you are my style twin...or at least what I'm shaping up my style to be. I also love the fact that you are wearing the same items in many of your posts. Some fashion bloggers seem to never wear any of the same items very often, which is not real and everyday to me. I love how you take staple accessories, shoes and what I call 'completer' items (i.e. cardigans, blazers and belts) and build completely different looks around them. That's true everyday fashion for REAL women!

  24. Thanks for your note! I definitely started my blog out of frustration that the "reality" on fashion blogs didn't seem much, if anything, like real life or reality to me!! So glad you like it and thanks for reading!
