Today's Everyday Fashion: LearnVest
Today's inspiration comes from my most unusual source yet... a financial website! This is a stock photo from LearnVest, which just goes to prove that you can find inspiration anywhere. I mean, how cute is that belt she is wearing? Today is my first day in Kansas and I have lunch plans, plus I'm visiting a few friends and their kiddos. This outfit is super-comfy but still really fun! I'm looking forward to spending the day catching up with friends.
Occasion: Lunch and visiting friends in KS
Inspiration photo: LearnVest
Cardigan: Express, really old
Shirt: LOFT, $20
Belt: Gap, $40
Shorts: Gap, $25
Shoes: Guess/DSW, $21
Watch: Michael Kors, family gift
Bracelets: Forever 21, $8
Necklace: c/o Stella & Dot
And speaking of LearnVest... they recently published my "6 clothing items you can repurpose now" article on their website (woo hoo)! You can see it here!

Thats awesome! LOVE LearnVest! They are HUGE on the Nate Burkus show. Super cute outfit, too! I CAN TOTALLY wear that to work with longer shorts (office appropriate!)

So random but I remember the last time you wore that polk-a-dot shirt. I think it's because it's one of my favorite pieces of yours. I bought some yellow shorts like that recently from Old Navy - I don't have a blue cardigan, but your OOTD makes me want to go out and get one... !
ReplyDeletetoo cute! i love it. thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with this look. One of my favorites yet! Have fun, J.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I'm slightly obsessed with your guess sandals. I went out to buy them @ my DSW.... You got quite a bargain! They are $49.95. My bff so generously gave me her $10 off coupon... $39.95 isn't a bad price for shoes that obviously match everything, but $21 is an awesome steal!! Thanks for "footwork" of finding the perfect sandal. :o) haha
ReplyDeleteThe combination is gorgeous!! You work the heck out of some shorts too!!
ReplyDeletei cant place it but for some reason i love, love your outfit :) it just looks so great!!
ReplyDeletethis combo is just adorable!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! The only thing is that I don't feel comfortable wearing shorts. I have heavier thighs and like to hide them. Love the color combination. Would find a super cute skirt or pair of capris instead.
ReplyDeleteDo those wedges hurt you when you wear them? I bought the same exact pair at my DSW store, and attempted to wear them shopping today. I might have walked maybe two hours in them, and ouch, they were killing my feet by the end of it. My feet are all bruised and calloused now :( But granted, I usually never wear heels or wedges (at least above 2 inches) in my daily life and have really high arches... Can you teach me how to walk in them? lol
ReplyDeleteAnna, these shoes are really, really comfy for me but it could be partly because I'm so used to walking in heels! I would say maybe break them in slowly? Try wearing them for shorter events/periods of time to get used to them and try to ease into wearing them!
ReplyDeleteKaty, this would look adorable with yellow capris, great suggestion!
ReplyDeleteYes, I got lucky and had several coupons that day. I totally would have paid $40 for them though! So comfy, they are worth it. :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, never though much of the outfit when I saw it on Learn Vest (I follow them too!) but now inspired to create an outfit! Thanks, and congrats on your "6 things..." post!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this look! Are the dots in your shirt black? And did you purchase it recently at Loft? I saw one in the petite tops section that looks like this, but not sure.
ReplyDeleteMelissa, the polka dots are blue and I believe I got it last summer!
