Today's Everyday Fashion: Bold Move

It was bound to happen. Mustard is my favorite color these days, so I was always eventually going to pair this magenta skirt with it. I wore it with yellow shoes last week, but today's outfit is more of the color-blocking trend that I'm currently obsessed with. :-)

Styling tips: Do you have a bright colored bottom? Don't go safe up top. Give color-blocking a try and pair it with a bright colored top!

  10. Love! I did a magenta pencil skirt with a mustard belt, cobalt pumps and a white top last week. I think next week (when hopefully it warms up again) I'm going to try bright purple top + plum skirt + mustard pumps. I am allllll about the colors!

Stephanie, I mention where it's from in the caption, but I've been attaching one of the charms to an old Banana Republic gold necklace. It's starting to tarnish though, so I just ordered the Penelope from Stella & Dot and I'm hoping it's a good fit. I'll let you know. :-)

  14. I just saw the violet/mustard combination on WNTW the other day. It looks really good and I have never thought of it! I have a pair of mustard heels in my closet that I've worn twice (with black - boring) so I'll have to mix it up with some violet!

@c690624b3c446973c4d94bfd07e1a2b9:disqus yes I got it a couple months ago, so you might be able to find one on sale at the Limited. I also saw an identical one at J.Crew last week, but obviously that one was a bit more expensive!
