Today's Everyday Fashion: The Weary Traveler
I had a very full day yesterday. I had lunch with a couple girlfriends, headed to Izon Orlando to edit my Miami Fashion Week video (will be posted next soon, I'm so excited to share it with you guys!), then visited my friends at OPP for a clothing swap they hosted (I was too tired to shop at that point, so went home empty-handed). I also squeezed in a stop at TJ Maxx. *whew* Because it was hot, I subbed in black shorts and folded up the sleeves of my new cardigan (don't you love the pea green color!) but essentially this is what I wore! What is your go-to outfit for a full day of errands? (I usually wear gladiator flats but I gotta say I'm loving how comfy these wedges are!)
Occasion: Lunch with friend, video editing, clothing swap

Shirt: TJ Maxx, $13
Necklace: H&M, $8
Jeans: Gap, $35
Shoes: Guess/DSW, $20

Wow you look great in that colour - I think it might be a hard one to pull off for most but it really does add so much to the look :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome day! I also am one that can't wear that color, but I'm "pea green" with envy! Lol
ReplyDeleteI just want you to know, I love your blog, you give so much inspiration about every day fashion, and show you don't have to have a huge budget to look great!!! Every day, the first thing I go to online is to see what you've put together, and can see the hard work and dedication to give us, thank you!!
One thing I would love to see, is a reference (on the side, maybe with the other "blue highlights") is the purchases you make each month to reference how you spend it, so we "underlings" can see what you add to your wardrobe. I also am a budget shopper (love a bargain!) and to see someone as accomplished as you; how you spend it would be awesome to reference we we got out and do the same!
Thank you for all that you do!! You've really given me great advise, and I enjoy it everyday!!
Thanks so much Sue! I did this for February. I mapped out how I spent my budget and why I made the decisions that I did, check it out! I'm planning to keep doing these in the future. The posts will be listed under "Favorite Posts and Videos."

When I saw your tweet about the colors in the outfit, I wasn't sure about it lol. Now that I see it, I love it! Very put together, but not boring or safe. Happy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for a while now and this is my first comment. Love your sense of style and how you put pieces together! Any advice for choosing a necklace/earrings based on the neckline of a shirt??
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting Rebecca! :-) That's a great question, and I really don't think there are any hard and fast rules. The shirt would have also looked great with a small pendant and earrings, I was just more in a tribal mood and went with this necklace. :-) I've also worn the same collared shirt with long necklaces and a short pendant, so they are definitely interchangeable. A bib necklace is a bit more tricky - you definitely want to have enough room so the bib isn't "scrunched" but too much room between a shirt bib and your bustline will also look funny. Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteI just came across your blog and love it!! You are too cute!!
ReplyDeleteI must have that necklace!!! I've been searching for one similar to that!! Absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLoving that necklace! So different.

ReplyDeletegotcha! well, i said i like wearing flats on a day when i'm running errands, and that you look cute! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the color of your cardigan! Might have to head out to my outlet mall and see if it'll fit me. What I do know for sure is that I'm going to DSW and getting those exact shoes. I'm in LOVE with them!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I never know how to pair clothes with accessories. I have some big, beautiful "costume-y" pieces but always feel like I have to be wearing neutrals/black/blue/gray to wear them (as to not overpower my outfit). :sigh:
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit! A great mix.
ReplyDeleteOooo love the color combo! so awesome!
