Is it possible to look professional and still be feminine and sexy at the office? I think this picture says it all. We've got brunette Barbie on the left, and blond Barbie on the right. :-)
Styling tip: Don't wait for a special occasion to wear red shoes, and don't only wear them with black and white. Give them a try them with pinks and purples - the colors right next to red on the color wheel!

ReplyDeleteps. I think you should be giving magazines, etc fashion inspiration instead of the other way around, your outfits are always better! ;)

Great combination! red + pinkish purple look so good together.

ReplyDeleteMoms Have Style, Too!
I can't wait until my office move is all settled so that I can wear my red skirt with my purple blouse.

I love the title of this post. Hot pink is my favorite color! I just wish I could find a pencil skirt that fits me well. I've yet to find one that's fitted for an apple shape!!
ReplyDeleteCute! Have you seen all those gorgeous photos on JCrew.com of all the different reds with that beautiful redhead model? I looked at those photos for like 15 minutes.... they're great!
ReplyDeleteCan you do a look with different shades of red? I challenge you.... ;-)
So cute!! You look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteKisses
you look great indeed. i love that camel coat on the model - what ad is that from??
ReplyDeletethanks :)
I bought that skirt a couple weeks ago at Limited! LOVE IT. Great fabric!
ReplyDeleteI love these J. Crew pants so much!!
ReplyDeleteMolly, I always provide the inspiration info in the caption. This one is from J.Crew!
ReplyDeleteI love that challenge Briana! :-) I only recently started to wear red, so I don't have enough pieces yet to do it. I'm currently on a pink craze though - expect to see some all pink outfits in varying shades coming soon! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the off times where I prefer the inspiration photo. I'm not in love with the satin shirt with everything else that's going on. I do think that your confidence pulls off the outfit and it works, for you.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Looks great(as always). I'm so glad I bought that skirt now! I'm definitely going to pair it w/red shoes. Great job J!
ReplyDeleteI really like this outfit. I will definitely try to pair them with other colors. I never thought about mixing them with pink and purple. Day by day I'm trying to figure this color wheel thingymajig out.

Loving it!!! Wish we had Limited. That skirt is going to be tough to find.
ReplyDeleteHi J! I bought this skirt over the weekend and would've never thought to pair it with my red pumps...thanks for the suggestion! You look great.
ReplyDeleteOn an unrelated note...would you consider posting dress suggestions for wedding guests? I have so many weddings to attend this spring/summer and need to find some cute, reasonably priced dresses. Love your style and would really appreciate it!
That skirt with red pumps is such a great combo! Wow, I'm loving this look.
ReplyDeleteWould you ever pair this skirt with the utility belt from last "Flashback Friday"? What top would pull together those two items?
You are in luck! I just did a post about wedding guest dresses a couple weeks ago. Here is the link:

Thank you! I would probably do the same thing I did with the floral skirt - a silky collared shirt and some sandals to match the belt!
ReplyDeleteI can agree that we need to stretch the boundaries on the red shoes...
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are fantastic! Love them!!
ReplyDeleteLove it
ReplyDeleteI love that pencil skirt! you rock!

i want that skirt so bad :(((
ReplyDeleteGreat! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI Love that J.Crew outfit head to toe first of all. Your interpretation is great too. That is one of your best outfits up to date, I think and I own that skirt so I can do smth similar, actually. I agree red shoes are meant to be worn with so many more colors that red, ivory, black or white. I think they look great with emerald or kelly green and bright blues like cobalt or royal.
