Today's Everyday Fashion: My Favorite
I try not to play favorites with my clothes, but this just might be my favorite looks ever. Ever!! I'm equally obsessed with the inspiration photo. All except that crazy pouf on top of her head. Try wearing that to a mall in the Midwest.
Styling tips: Are all of your bottoms neutral colors like black, navy, taupe or ivory? Challenge yourself to pick up a floral pencil skirt, some pink chinos or another fun bottom this spring! It's a great way to mix up your closet, and you can find more things to pair with it than you think. (I have so many outfit ideas for this aqua skirt coming up!!)

Wow...that looks awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThis look is truly great and screams Spring! Love it.
ReplyDeleteHow you found BR shoes for $22 is a feat in itself (haha no pun intended).
Is the aqua skirt from Loft this season? I love it!
ReplyDeletelove love love everything about this outfit! i love nude pumps! <3
ReplyDeleteVery cute, the colors work well together. I agree, trying colorful skirts, pants and shorts for spring is such a fresh look. We just featured a floral skirt, that fits in great with the preppy nautical trend that we are still seeing this season.

Yes, it was part of my "February budget" post a few weeks ago!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this!!! You look amazing, as always. What a pretty spring look! I wanted that LOFT skirt, but they didn't have my size. Boo! :(
ReplyDeleteLOVE this look! You've totally inspired me to try a bold colored pencil skirt.

Love, love love this look! That color combination is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteFriend,
ReplyDeleteAre your shoes newer? Are they leather? I've been looking for nude/tan pumps for days!
The color combo is very nice, not overwhelming but perfect for us regular 9 to 5 girls.
ReplyDeleteJ- I love these color combos! I have very similar items in these colors. Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteI agree, I love this outfit!!!!! I love the color combo and that is a great blouse.

This outfit screams SPRING! I love it - you look great! :)
ReplyDeleteHi J,
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is awesome. I love the colour combination. I wanted to ask you about J.Crew. Do you think their sizes run big? I ordered a bunch of stuff on line last week (including this shirt you are wearing but in a different fabric) and i had to return everything cause it was all huge! Just wanted to know what you though. Thanks!
Before I even read your photo comments I was thinking, all of my bottoms are neutral and I need some colored skirts to spice up my work wardrobe. You are ful of great ideas. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteEliana, yes I agree they run at least a half size big. This shirt is a size 0 and it's still big on me. In skirts, I usually order my normal size 2 and find that they are bit roomier than usual. Not so much that I need to size down, but definitely a bit more roomy!
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love that sky blue skirt. In fact, I love all your colored skirts. Next time I'm in the market for work clothes, I am picking up some colored pencil skirts.
ReplyDeletei love that skirt...and it was so awesome to see you in this month's instyle issue!
ReplyDeleteOh great I will have to check it out! And thanks for all of your hard work on this blog. I check in every day for new inspiration!!
ReplyDeleteThis is officially my favorite look ever. I love the blues and greens and am totally inspired to go get me some cute skirts!!
ReplyDeleteHi J. I love your blog. It's great to see how we can convert magazine styles into real life styles. It's a great inspiration !
ReplyDeleteI also like that you mention where beach piece comes from and the price. However I would find it useful if you can also mention if it's from the current season style (so I can avoid searching from something that is not in stores anymore.)
Thanks !
Thanks for the suggestion! I will try to include a "recent" next to any recent items. In this look, the skirt and cardigan are both fairly new!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is beautiful and I can see why it would easily be one of your favorite looks! Loving the color combo!
ReplyDeleteThank you !!
ReplyDeleteWhat size are you looking for? I bought one yesterday @ Short Pump Store in Richmond, VA and they had a few left.
ReplyDeleteI find this outfit incredibly chic, elegant and classy. That skirt is amazing, what a soft, buttery, sky blue, I can even justify the price because I think that skirt will take you so far and I can think of dozens of outfits, too. With the same token, your new Loft cardigan is a great neutral piece which you can wear a lot. And that beautiful champagne shell has a refined look to it. Also you can't go wrong with nude-colored pumps that go with everything and elongate the legs -- I have a very similar pair.
