Today's Everyday Fashion: The Staycation
Yesterday was day #1 of my Orlando staycation. I have friends in town and we had planned to hang out Friday/Saturday but... a flight got screwed up and it wound up being Thursday/Friday. Our first night was spent hanging out on Park Ave (a street full of cute restaurants, shops and bars). Since it was in the mid-80's I dressed light and broke out my new shoes. (I've had them since before Christmas but haven't worn them yet!)
Today we are headed to Disney - my first time EVER and I am sooo excited! I've never been anxious to go, but now that we are going I'm super-duper looking forward to it. I'll do a "Flashback Friday" post this weekend, but excuse me while I unplug from the internet today and tap into my inner child at the happiest place on earth! ;-)

I just found and bookmarked your blog a few days ago...and now I'm brewing up a pot of tea and planning on spending several hours looking through past posts. These how-to posts are KEY for fashion-challenged girls like me. I actually have to ask my husband if my clothes match some days. I love your heels. I never wear heels. My shoes are always sensible. How depressing is that?! Haha!
ReplyDeleteLoving the orange for spring....and those shoes are FABULOUS!
ReplyDeleteLove this post.

My eyebrows are naturally arched, I've never waxed or shaped them. You might be referring to the expression on my face though?
ReplyDeleteYay! Welcome to the blog, I'm so glad you like it! Shoes can be sensible AND stylish, I just personally prefer lots of heels. I'll be wearing more flats in the summer though!
ReplyDeleteRebecca, you are mind reader because I'm doing a special occasion post this weekend! Besides the dresses I'll be recommending, I also encourage you to look for dresses at department stores and retail stores. They can be from Express for example, you'll just need to buy all the sizes right away because they don't stay in stock for long periods of time the way bridal stores do. Think outside the box though and just find one that you love!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely started as a hobby but now it has blossomed into a full-time gig! I am doing freelance social media for a bunch of companies, and I'm also launching a makeover show based on the blog in a few weeks that's keeping me very busy! ;-) It's amazing what you can do with your passions if you pursue them!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I don't remember the style name! I bought the very last pair online though, and that was months ago so I don't think they have them anymore!

ReplyDeleteI must say, that look truly is perfect for a vacation, even one in Phuket villas. Your outfit is much better than your inspiration photo!
