loving the outfits they recently featured on their website. Here are a few more of my favorites:
the look is cute, the shrug seems a bit dresser for my work environment.
ReplyDeleteI will be completely honest in saying lose the shrug! The only time I could see wearing that is for a holiday. For work? Wear a blazer! It would make the tank top really stand out!
ReplyDeleteHi J, I write you from Spain. I work in a company with center in Tampa, you live there, isn't? Sorry for my english, I only want to say you that I like so much your blog.
ReplyDeleteTalbots has really stepped up their game! They have a storefront in my town, and being in my early 20's I really wouldn't have shopped there before (but my mom has). My mom and I have talked about how impressed we are with their new designs. I would totally buy their clothes now!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely wear that to work. I think its a great adaption for your FL location. In Chicago, I'd do a chunky knit sweater with a faux fur collar instead :)
I am in love with these Talbots outfits! Where on the website can I find them?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the shoes. Where can i find them?
ReplyDeleteI totally would wear that to work, minus the faux fur shrug, though. Reason: it's almost always too hot in Orlando. It is very cute, though. love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the other posters: lose the shrug!
ReplyDeleteThanks for featuring these inspiration pics from Talbots. For so long, I've thought of Talbots as a more mature look, but I love these pieces!!!

ReplyDeleteI think for work I would switch out the skirt for the white jeans or reg dark wash skinny jeans you usually wear in your work out photos. I think for work it would be fine to wear the faux fur wrap but with the skirt it is too dressy. Very nice job, you have a lot of versatile pieces to copy the photos! xoox Camille @ nevernaked.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteLove it! I disagree, the shrug makes the outfit & its perfect for fall.
ReplyDeleteVery cute, J! You're so brave to wear fur in Florida!!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteSara and Elizabeth, I totally agree that Talbots has stepped up their game. I haven't made it into a store yet, but I'm loving their stuff online.
Anonymous, I saved these pictures from the Talbots website a few weeks ago, I"m not sure if they are still up yet.
Anonymous 2, are you asking about the shoes I am wearing, or shoes you see in the Talbots pictures? Talbots sells shoes so I would check their website if its from one of their photos.
i cant not believe these are from talbots! seriously thought the looks were from j crew!
ReplyDeleteI would not wear fur or faux-fur to work, or really ever. I just don't think it's my style.
ReplyDeleteTalbots has had some really great items lately. Looking forward to the pieces from their Holiday Lookbook to hit the shelves, namely the silk sequin dress!!
I like the outfit with the tan sweater and the blue coat too!
I love the gray charmeuse ruffle top in the bottom outfit - but I tried it on in 2 sizes and it was still too boxy for me throughout the waist.
hmm, the outfit seems more evening to me than work. it kind of floats between work dressy and evening dressy. maybe with a black pencil skirt it would be perfect.
