I'm a huge fan of bright colors, but when I do go neutral, I love picking pieces with fun textures like lace and crochet. I first wore this top with distressed denim (here), and was excited to try it with a white blazer, baby blue skinnies and black pumps based on my celebrity inspiration photo. A simple combo, but I never would've thought to put it together! Are crochet tops a trend you will be trying?

I love the top you are wearing, what did you wear under it?
ReplyDeleteI remember when you wore this top a little while ago and I fell in love with it. It's gorgeous and you just made me remember how much I want it!

I am SO loving the lace/crochet look right now! I seriously, can't get enough of it! This is definitely an outfit I can see myself wearing.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan. Your outfit looks cute but over the last few weeks I have been seeing this trend in the real world and it just looks messy. I don't know if "real" women don't think about the styling or they just don't care. And I HATE the crochet shorts! They are everywhere and look like ripped up toilet paper. I'll be passing on this trend.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm totally digging this style. I have 2 tanktops like this: in white and brown. I also love using them to add texture. Just got into the colored skinny trend & looking forward to recreating this look. I'll probably go for a cardigan rather than a blazer as my work is very (veryyyyy) casual.
ReplyDeleteThat top is GORGEOUS!!!!! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteI love crochet tops (and bottoms!)! They're just so cute, feminine, artistic... they're just such lovely pieces to have in my eyes :) Dress them up dress them down; they're perfect!

I've got a stack of camis in a range of white to nude shades that I've collected over the years, and this time I stuck with a regular white cami! :-)
ReplyDeleteAlways loved the crochet for the summer, it is really nice yet risque for a workplace :)

ReplyDeleteThis is one of my all-time favorites!
ReplyDeleteLove the crochet blouse! I've been looking for a simple white blouse to wear as a backdrop to my bubble necklaces...I think this may be it! :)

Love this outfit J! Thanks for inspiration! Also, is this Jenny Garth in the picture? She looks scary thin :/
ReplyDeleteI love it, but with nude pumps. Black is a little harsh. Or even those blush platforms you have.
ReplyDeleteI bought this one from Forever21 - http://canada.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=LOVE21&Category=love21_knittops&ProductID=2040205282&VariantID= It's a really versatile piece! I first wore it with a pseudo-chanel-style blazer, but I have a lot of other plans for it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a *b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l.* blue-and-white outfit!! I love your clear crystal and goldtone drop earrings with your white crochet lace top: wearing crystal jewelry with crochet lace pieces just seems to give............ such an *opulent, yet still very delicate and light* look to your (total) outfit, J. ............ e.g., like two *sparkling* Chandelier Lead Crystal Candleholders on a fine, White Lace Tablecloth in a *5-Star* Restaurant!!
ReplyDeleteLove this top!

Love this whole outfit. You look so cute! I was looking at Lily and Violet's web page. I can't find a size guide on it. Do you think this top runs true to size?
ReplyDeleteI think this top is a junior's fit, and it buttons up the back, so if you are between sizes I would go up!
