Today's Everyday Fashion: The Baby Shower

Today I'm giving you a little variety, so you can pick your favorite shoes with this outfit! I wore pair #1, the cap toe flats, to my friend Michelle's baby shower this weekend. Flats felt the most comfy and the most appropriate for the venue (a friend's house). The first time I wore this skirt (here), I went with basic black, but this time I wanted something colorful. I think pretty much any bright color top and necklace combo would work with this skirt! Which shoes are your favorite?

Top: Victoria's Secret c/o MJR Sales, $24 (similar, similar)
Skirt: Harmony Belle c/o sold out (similarsimilar, similar)
Necklace: Ily Couture c/o
Flats: Me Too/Marshalls, $28 (similar, similar)
Pink heels: Colin Stuart c/o MJR Sales, $27 (similar, similar)
Black heels: Colin Stuart c/o MJR Sales, $24 (similar)
Watch: Michael Kors, family gift
Rings: My Stella & Dot 1, 2
Bracelets: My Stella & Dot 1, 2, 3, 4

Also, what do you guys think of the latest Target designer collaboration with Kate Young? Here are some of my favorites:

  1. Love love love all your designs! So nice to see that I can dig through my closet and pull things together that I never dreamed would go together! Most days I feel too old for some of the things I'm wearing or trying to pull off AND I'm a plus size, tall gal so I tend to shy away from some things I just love!

  2. It all depends on the occasion. But if I had to just choose...I'd say the black.

  3. I love the pink shoes, plus they make your legs look longer than the other two. If I can get a shoe to make my legs look longer, you bet I am going to wear it!

    Also, this skirt is fantastic!

  13. It's really cute!! Very good idea, I kind of wore something like this to a wedding shower but it was a black and white maxi skirt with a pink top. I love to pop of yellow! Got me thinking and inspired :)

  16. I think I prefer the cap toe flats because it picks up the black in the skirt without being too overt about it. Regardless, your version looks infinitely better than mine, but in my defense, I was using a different muse then. Maybe on my CTRL-Z week, I'll use you as my inspiration?

Not particularly fond of any of the Kate Young items, although that spotty dress looks intriguing and bears further investigation.

  20. I never realized just how *v.e.r.s.a.t.i.l.e.* a black-and-white wide-striped SKIRT could be, i.e., the "feel" (of the first time you wore this skirt) with basic black, J. ............ is totally different from............ the "feel" (of this skirt) with a bright, colorful pink top!! *Both* outfits are gorgeous, though: maybe a black-and-white wide-striped skirt is----"The New Black" Skirt, (haha)!!

  25. I really like the outfit with the pink shoes. The gold studs play on the yellow necklace nicely. Plus, I really like color & standout shoes :) The Target collection is pretty cute- I can see myself wearing quite a few of those dresses.
