Today's Everyday Fashion: Wishful Thinking

Even though the weather is chilly in Orlando right now, I wore the top version of this outfit for shopping on Monday. It was a bright sunny day so it wasn't totally out of context, but it was certainly wishful thinking that warmer spring days are coming soon. Boots also could've worked (bottom pic), and I did a quick scan of my outfits over the past year (here) and I wear this mint + yellow color combo a lot, as well as this necklace and these jeans together. (If you are choosing a colorful statement necklace to add to your wardrobe, coordinating with a denim color is a great way to decide!) Which shoes would you wear?

Top: Old Navy, $10
Jeans: Limited, $15 (similar)
Necklace: Ily Couture c/o
Sandals: Madden Girl c/o MJR Sales, $20 (similar, similar, similar)
Boots: HCB c/o (same, similar)
Purse: Karen Millen, gift (similar, similar)
Watch: Michael Kors, family gift
Rings: My Stella & Dot 1, 2
Bracelets: My Stella & Dot 1, 2, 3

  1. I would probably wear the boots now (I'd wear the whole outfit now too!) simply because it's still teetering around 30-40 degree weather up here in PA. I'm wishing hard for spring too, J! =)

  7. I love the salmon colored stripes against the mint on that shirt. I think I like this look better with the booties, and you're right it's freezing this week!

  11. Out of the two, I'd pick the sandals but if I had to choose any, I'd pick nude/neutral pumps (guess the bag would have to change, though). I'm really looking forward to some warmer weather as well!

  12. The outfit feels very soft, and so I don't like the bottom outfit because the boots are rough and out of place. I would go for a closed toe flat, in neutral, or maybe even purple!

  16. I painted my nails a super bright color yesterday, trying to force spring to arrive through the magic of a manicure. haha. I'd have to choose the booties based on our current weather in Tuscany, though I'd love to wear the sandals!

  19. I love the 1st outfit-the sandals look amazing with those yellow jeans. BUT since Spring is still holding out on us, the boots make look appropriate.

  20. Oh, now I wish I'd washed my yellow jeans! You look so fresh and cheery! J'adore! Makes my version today feel more fall than spring. I blame it on my lone purple blouse.
