Today's Everyday Fashion: Transitional

Inspiration: Pinterest

Spring is so close I can feel it. I'm craving pastels, and leopard is a good transitional print so this J.Crew-inspired look was just the thing to bridge the gap. Speaking of spring, I've got fringe swimwear on the brain, which was a hot trend last summer but I could never find one for a good price. This year I'm getting started early, see my shopping picks below. What spring items are you craving most?

Shirt: Ann Taylor, $20 (similar, similar)
Jeans: Gap c/o
Belt: Urban Outfitters, $20 (similar, similar)
Necklace: Ily Couture c/o (redeem the offer on my Facebook page to get any bubble necklace for $16)
Shoes: Banana Republic, $60 (similarsimilarsimiilar)
Watch: Michael Kors, family gift
Bracelets: My Stella & Dot 1, 2, 3

  5. This color combo is AMAZING, I love it! The mustard yellow and mint are great together. I also like the leopard print accessories.  I also love the fringe bathing suits, I bought one last year from Victoria's Secret. I love the white one from Free People.

  7. How many bubble necklaces do you own? I think they're adorable, but I only have one.  What are other good statement necklaces besides the bubble ones that are affordable?

    Love your blog!

  12. Thanks Lizzy! I have four. One turquoise from H&M two years ago, and then over the last year I added burgundy, yellow and today's soft pink. The plastic teardrop bibs are also really popular!

  16. A fringe swimsuit would look terrific on you! This summer, I'm all about retro shapes, I'm waiting for my Forever 21 bottom to arrive!! Btw, I love the Charlotte Russe one. Let me just say that you're such an inspiration for me... and I've just started my own blog! I really hope it can be as cool as yours!

  20. I love those mint jeans so much on you that I ordered my own pair - however, they didn't work quite right on my body type, so they went back!  Now I'm on my own hunt for mint jeans... hope I find some soon!

Thanks for the idea of the mint jeans, though.  When I'm done with Maxi Skirt Week, I might remix my top to incorporate my own mint pair.  :)

  23. Hey, J! I am kind of obsessed with this dress, but it's no longer available and too pricey anyway. I'm wondering, have you seen anything similar in your shopping ventures? I'd also love to see how you would wear it! http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/111885

  29. Love the mint jeans! My favorite bathing suit is the one from Target because it has the perfect amount of fringe. I think the others may have a bit too much, plus I love the peach color!

  30. Pastels are the perfect transition wear! When it's not really warm spring weather yet, I always turn to my pastel pants, so I'm covered but still feeling part of the season :)
