Elegantees is a modest clothing line created by my friend Katie Martinez in NYC. Her mission is twofold - create affordable clothing, and raise money for women rescued from sex trafficking in Nepal. Job opening: in other Elegantees news, Katie and I are working on an exciting opportunity (think TV network that sells clothes) and need a third member for our team. We are looking for someone who is capable of translating ideas into hand or computerized sketches that show construction, are easy to work with (communication will be primarily with a production manager in NYC), and the ability to make patterns and to sew is a plus, but not required. This is such a simple dress; yet~~(for a wide variety of body types!)~~it would be *very flattering*!! I can honestly see how one would be able to style this lovely dress in l.o.t.s. of different ways, too, J. ............ not to mention the very honorable (and deeply compassionate!!) philanthropic c.a.u.s.e. of Katie Martinez's company Elegantees!!
ReplyDeleteAlthough (as a disclaimer) I have nothing to gain financially from this next thought, I've simply noticed that some of Katie's pretty designs would look really *g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s.* with some of the jewelry on your Stella & Dot website, e.g., for instance, Elegantees' "Hope" Dress here would (in my opinion) look just *s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g.* with Stella & Dot's Limited Edition - "Aphrodite Necklace"!!:

On the Elegantees website, if you next look very closely at the Hope Dress' small, crescent-moon-shaped piece of fabric----(i.e., maybe best seen in the Azalea and Grape colors, right at the upper waistline area)----you can then see that the Aphrodite Necklace's stylized/sculptural *double* crescent moons are............ a *M.I.R.R.O.R.* reflection............ of the Hope Dress' small, crescent-moon-shaped piece of fabric!! Since the SHINY, silvery----i.e., white-bronze plating over brass----Aphrodite Necklace would make a strong "authoritative statement" with the Hope Dress, maybe then wearing MATTE-silver shoes of some sort----i.e., for Daytime Office Wear OR for Nighttime Evening Wear----would help to balance the look (?)
