Today's Everyday Fashion: Tie Dye

I snapped these pictures on my way out the door on Saturday. I had dinner with one of my dearest friends, followed by two holiday parties. I decided to bust out my new tie-dye skinnies for the occasion, and kept the rest of the look fairly simple. They were super-fun to wear and I'm already brainstorming different ways I can wear them for another night out. Would you wear tie dye jeans?

  10. I would wear these tie dye jeans because they are in black.  I like that you kept everything else simple since they are a statement in themselves.  Cute outfit!  Heather

  14. I'm not a big fan of tie-dye but they look great on you! I think I could do a tie-dye shirt since I'm not much of a risk-taker in fashion. Of course, I'm always telling myself to step out of my comfort zone....

  20. I don't think I would wear tie-dye jeans because there are no fashion-conscious people where I live!! haha. Can't wait for your next tie-dye outfit!

  25. I would have probably passed these up in a store but they look awesome in your outfit!  Not sure I could pull them off..I'm shorter and not sure how they would look on someone so short but I may have to find a pair to try on!  Love it!

  26. Super cute! I feel like you could do a lot with them. :)
Also, love your photos outside! I've always liked that your outfits are always taken in the same place inside (I like consistancy :) but natural light looks great on you! :)

  27. Thanks Lynette! I always use natural lighting (through windows) but me heading outside was partly just feeling bored with my usual routine, and partly the sun was setting so lighting inside wasn't as good as outside. :-)

  28. Thanks Carolyn! Definitely just a one time thing. All my photography is 100% natural lighting, I just usually shoot mid-day instead of at sunset. :-)

  29. Thank you! They renamed themselves Style-a-roo, but I haven't been on the new website yet and I think they are still uploading a lot of their stock!

  31. Love the new background for a change!  The tie-dye is super cool its really edgy but the flowy top makes it really girly.

  32. i cant say i love the tie dye jeans style, but you are rocking them and styled them perfectly. i think you're out of your style rut now..

    ReplyDelete
  33. i LOVE these!!!! They are so fun yet you styled them very upscale and chic. I like how it isn't an obnoxious tie dye either. :)

  34. I like that this style is fun and edgy but you aimed to make them toned down. I love it and I think you look great! :)

  35. Did you dye your hair or is the reddish tint just from the sun? Looks great!

    ReplyDelete
  36. SUPER cute!!  I love when you show your 'on the way out the door' pics:)

    ReplyDelete
  37. My hair is alllll natural now, I stopped dying it! :-) I have never noticed a red tint before but I see what you mean in that top photo.

  38. LOVE, love, love these jeans.  I am loving all the fun printed skinnies out right now.  I am a little heavier so I worry about how they'll look on my body type.  I wish I could take a camera in the dressing room.  You just can't trust a mirror!  I also worry how much use I'll get from some of the printed pants before they fall out of favor.

  39. You should take all your photos outside, natural light is much better on you! Not in love with those jeans, too trendy for me, but you look adorable in them!

  41. I love the way tie Dye changes a whole look. The plain white collard shirt looks great with them! I have a similar pair, the heels go well too!

  42. How about a greyish/taupe colored heel? I think that might improve the outfit?! But I like it like that as well!

  43. You look absolutely stunning in those jeans! I'd definitely wear tie-die skinnies.  I've been stocking up on print jeans for the winter =)  I'm trying to experiment more with bottoms!

  44. You look amazing. The whole outfit is on point. I would try tie-dye jeans and if I found a pair I love, I would get them.  I recently wore patterned jeans to a holiday party and kept the rest of the outfit simple. It is definitely fun to wear.  Here is my pic: http://coverupchic.blogspot.ca/2012/12/winter-party-attire-damask-and-sequins.html

  47. i bought a pair of toe dye skinny jeans back over the summer, and i am psyched to see they're catching on.  they were even featured in the most recent issue of cosmo!  i am all for them with a basic top.

  48. oops!  tie dye lol.  mine are greyscale tie dye, so a bit more subtle of a print.

  49. Are the jeans true to size? I'm a 4 sometimes a 6; since these are juniors sizes, and they say to order up...wondering what you think about sizing?

  50. I'm not sure if they're my style, but you look cute in them! :)

  51. Hey there!  So just curious about the sizing of the jeans.  On the website it says order up.  I'm normally a 4 sometimes 6.  So does that mean order a 7 or 9? :)  Thanks for your help!

  52. What size do you usually wear in juniors bottoms? I ordered my usual junior's size (3) and they fit great. I'm a size 0-2 in misses, stores like Limited, Gap, etc. Hope this helps!
