Today's Everyday Fashion: Predictable

I was attempting to re-create this outfit, but it started to feel oddly... familiar. Had I worn it before? I pulled up my Facebook page (the easiest way to view my 1,000+ outfits) and realized that I had not worn it yet, however, I was feeling that way due to the fact that I wear mint/aqua + camel together a lot. Repeating outfits, especially ones that you love, is totally cool in my book, so for fun I decided to show the outfits together so you could see the variations for yourself! Which look is your favorite?

  2. LOVE the color combo!  I am wearing mint and black/grey today.  I think mint is just so refreshing and clean so it goes with almost anything!  It's almost neutral in that it can go with other pastels, brights, darks, neutrals - I love it! (PS - also wearing my new Stella & Dot necklace I bought from your shop!  Love that too!!)

  3. Seeing those colors together inspires me!  Love, love, love.

  4. Same colors, but lots of variety.  Well done.

  5. They're such great colors, no wonder you repeat 'em! Have you ever tried the Essie color Turquoise and Caicos? You'd love it!

  9. I love this color combo!  And I totally agree, if it's an outfit or color combo you love, wear it often!

  10. I don't have much mint in my wardrobe, but I would definitely wear this combo! I tend to wear lots of combos of navy, turquoise, and neon yellow--it's a combination I don't ever seem to get tired of!! Anyway, I love this look, those shoes are fabulous! (I can't believe they're Forever 21!)

  12. Those must be your 'comfort colors', like comfort food, only for color! And you look great in that color combo! I will have to give it a try!

  14. I love outfit #1 the best. It's how I found your blog in the first place. I saw it pin on Pinterest and found it's source. I've been reading your posts ever since. Keep up the great work.

  15. I think I like the second look in the second row of photos the best!! I like the muted grey/blue with the camel (and just a pop of bright blue in the necklace) much better than the predominantly bright blue with the camel... it comes off as a more effortless chic :)

  17. Oh ! I love them all . I would have to say I am in love with the yellow polka dot dress combo as well as the mint sweater, camel skirt combo right below it. Lovely colors.

  18. I see what you mean about being familiar! I say that you look great in those colours and feel comfortable mixing them, hence the variations on a theme! I haven't got a favourite, I like them all. x

  19. I really like the three closest to the right on the top row. I love these colors together and it's nice to see them worn in different ways. It doesn't look or feel at all like repeated outfits!

  20. I love the color combination. I like the first one on the second row.

  22. I like the one with the yellow dress and then the one with the sea green cardigan. :)

  23. I like today's outfit and the 3rd one in the second row.  In today's I really like how the the belt and shoes add just a little bit.  I might wear the shoes again with the 3rd one in the second row, I like getting use out of colored shoes whenever possible.

  24. I like today's outfit, its very classic!  But i also LOVE number 3, I have a similar dress and would not have thought to pair a leather jacket with a chiffon dress. Love this color combination!

  30. Cute outfit!  I love how the shoes are an awesome, funky color, but they don't look crazy against the rich, warm tones of the camel.  The one thing I am disappointed with is that you didn't try to pose like the model in the inspiration photo.  bahaha.  All of these outfits are pretty fantastic, and they all have their own vibe, so it's hard to pick a favorite.

  31. The are the exact two that I like.  Is there a list of where we can find each item?

  32. Wow - all these looks are amazing.  I love how you made this color scheme work not just once or twice, but 8 times!  That take skill! =)

  37. Great look!  I love those warm golden browns, especially on you and the top is super cute.  I also love the second to the last variation the most.  I love the shoes and skirt in the same tones with that crisp white top--just an all over great look.  But all the others are wonderful, as well.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I love the first variation! I was automatically drawn to the polka dots! Super cute! I think I'll need a little bit of a tan before I can rock the aqua camel combo!

  39. You have the best style! Seriously. I would never think to put mint & camel together, but it's perfect. I love all the looks...something is striking about the last one though.

  40. Well, I am a SUCKER for polka dots so the dress (#1) is my fav, but the outfit you just put up is also very polka dot cute! Love the color combo too! Tre Chic as always J! :)

  41. This colour combo looks amazing on you.  I love the first look on the bottom line the best.  I also love the 3rd and 4th look on the bottom line as well.  I am totally guilty of repeating outfits.  Not such much in terms of colour, but the type of silhouette.  I am constantly in a blazer, top, pants and heels, like this look: http://coverupchic.blogspot.ca/2012/09/fall-suiting-emerald-and-blue.html

    ReplyDelete
  42. I love that belt -- color is gorgeous, and the way to tied it is snazzy!

    ReplyDelete
  43. The 1st and 3rd on the top line are my favourites, the ones I could most seem myself wearing. Perhaps they seem more accessible to me as a stay at home mum due to the inclusion of flat shoes  ;)

  44. I love your heels they're so vibrant! My favorite look  is the motorcycle jacket and aqua dress

  46. Hey J! Love the outfit. I have a question.. the gray ankle boots you're wearing in your previous post are AMAZING! The Chinese Laundry pair are a little (lot..) out of my price range. Have you seen any similar pairs with lower prices around lately? I'm not having any luck! Thanks!!

  47. I love this color combo as well!  In fact, they were my wedding colors (chocolate brown & Tiffany blue).  I have the same skirt & top and have not paired these two together yet.  Looks great on you!

  49. I was thinking... it would be AMAZING if there was a way to link all outfits with the same skirt or pants, etc.  Because I feel like the bottoms are what you repeat the most (which is awesome; that's what I do too), so it would be great to see how many ways you could wear a purple skirt, or a red skirt, or a mint/aqua skirt... you get it ;) Maybe you could put tag lines on the post? I don't know.. just a thought :) Love your blog!

  50. I love 1st and 3rd on top and 1st and 3rd on bottom and love, love, love the shoes in the last one.  I would kill to get mustard pointy toed flats or kitten heals.  They go with everything!

  51. I like 1st and 2nd on top and 2nd and 3rd on bottom

  52. 4 (today's),  7 and 8 are my favorites!! 5 is next up in line for me! :)

  58. I love 5, 6, and 7 the best. They are all great though! Since I've seen this post (and how well these colors work together) I've been searching for a blue and camel pencil skirt. Nowhere seems to have them. Where do you suggest looking?
