Today's Everyday Fashion: Night of Joy

Last night I went to Night of Joy at Disney and this is what I wore! Comfort was top priority, so I paired my favorite light, light blue denim shorts with a dark gray Madonna t-shirt (I'm not necessarily a fan, I just like the design), and ankle boots with socks. I totally miscalculated the weather when I left the house though, because it was way hot the first few hours of riding rides, the kind of gross instant sweat where you feel like you are suffocating (thank you Florida). I was tempted to jump into every body of water I passed, and was wishing I had a breezy tank and sandals instead. Once the sun went down, temperatures got way better, and I was able to enjoy the concert (LeCrae, Third Day and MercyMe) without a bead of sweat. Really fun night and I can't wait to go back next year! What would you wear to a concert?

  2. It's a great look j!  That last shot of you takes me back so much - I went to Disney for my 10th birthday and must've riden that 'small world' ride about 10 times I loved it so much, I still remember the song 20 years later!

  3. Wow, this is a very different look than from what I'm used to seeing on your site!! Very surprising but you still look great :) Looks like a perfect outfit for a concert; the last thing you want to worry about is messing up your shoes or sweating all over a nice shirt!

  6. This is a great casual-cool look for you. I'm a huge fan of these shorts anyways, especially from the previous post where you wore them with a cute sweater. They're gorgeous. It's a great and comfy outfit for a day of non stop walking. I'm sorry it was so hot though ;-)

  7. I really appreciate that you not only show pencil-skirt-and-heels-office-looks but also blog about casual outfits for an everyday look. It's really awesome and you barely see that in blogs, I think. I mean, you actually show wearable looks that are easy to relate to since I'm not walking around in pumps every day! Keep on doing what you're doing, J. Because it's really damn great!! Love your blog.

  8. I really like the graphic tee that you'r wearing. It seems really versatile because I've been a follower for over a year now and have seen you pair it with several things! P.S. I finally scored a kelly green colored skirt on sale. (Had to share as I am pretty excited about it!)

  14. Thanks Cassie! And I totally agree - I didn't mind sweating in it and no one could tell. It was great for the concert part but just a tad too warm for riding rides!

  21. How fun! And you look adorable as usual! You don't wear much black...is there a reason? I feel like everything I own is black! Did you end up keeping your other Old Navy and Target purchases? Can't wait to see what you do with the striped dresses and striped shorts!

  22. Ok I take that back! You have had a few items lately with black in them. I guess you just don't wear it on your blog as much as I wear it in real life! :) Nwver heard of LeCrae by the way...I'll have to check them out! Love MercyMe!

  24. Not a Madonna fan?  Not even the early stuff - Material Girl?!

  25. You wore a Madonna shirt to a Christian concert?  That's ironic.

  26. Cute outfit! Love the colors. The stripes are a nice touch. It gives the whole look a little more dimension :) Thanks for sharing!
