Today's Everyday Fashion: Boho

I've had this dress all summer, but never got around to posting a picture of it until now. It's been on constant rotation lately as I've been craving more of a boho look (it's an easy pairing for my au natural wavy hair). I wore it to a casual dinner with flats a few weeks ago, and this weekend as pictured for an early dinner and drinks. The hi-lo skirt may look slightly funny from the front, but I love the extra coverage it provides the bum. ;-) Do you ever wear outfits with a bohemian vibe?

  1. I love boho but have been getting stuff that will go on my overweight body. As I lose a little I realize that part of the look is in the use of stuff that is a bit off-the-wall and I can do that.

  3. I like boho-inspired outfits a lot in general so it's no surprise I find this look amazing. I'm glad you chose these wedges, they go so well with the rest of the look. And the high-low-dress is so on trend, now too. Well done, you look fabulous!
I have a bohemian inspired headband I wear a lot when I wear my head in natural waves. I think it's fun. Bohemian outfits to me always seem very stylish and comfortable at the same time.

  4. This is a really fun dress.  Love it with your fringed sandals.  I have a hard time with the boho look. I always feel too much like a hippie, ha ha!  Maybe you could show us a few more boho inspired looks in the future?

  5. Boho is hard for a curvy girl like me to pull off, but you did it wonderfully!

Loving the hemline on this dress!!!!

I do like a classic look with a splash of bohemian. Bohemian can be a quick and  comfortable look, so on it goes : )

I don't lean towards wearing boho myself but my friend (who I have a blog with) wears that look often.

  14. Very cute dress.  It would look great with a cropped jean jacket going into fall.

  15. I do wish they'd line the back differently! I mean, what a missed opportunity to add a contrasting print or color!!! Or even just a matching one to make it look more polished. It's a lovely dress though!

  18. Seriously, a purse over 300$ that was given to you? No everyday at all.

  19. Relatively new to fashion...so I have a silly belt question.  In order to knot belts as you do in many outfits, do you buy large sizes?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Not a silly question Stephanie! I recommend buying belts to fit the largest part of your body. That way they will fit around your hips if you wear jeans, or you can loop them around your waist like I'm showing here (you can always make a belt smaller, but not bigger). Check out my video to see how I do the looping thing with belts: http://www.jseverydayfashion.com/2010/11/video-how-to-belt-cardigan_12.html
