Today's Everyday Fashion: The Muscle Tee

Buying this shirt was totally out of character for me. Sure, I enjoy a good graphic tee (see this post). But a muscle tee? This was a first. I brought the shirt home and a couple weeks later remembered this Kate Bosworth photo and it all made sense. I love Kate's Coachella look from last year and couldn't be more excited to re-create it. I did one version with shorts and one with pants, both of which I'm loving for running errands. Sometimes all it takes to feeling stylish is stepping just a little bit outside of your comfort zone. Do you like wearing graphic tees? Which outfit is your favorite?

  1. I like both but think I prefer the one with shorts. It's got a great boho feel that I'm loving for summer.

  5. Both are adorable - but I actually like the pants look. It feels more pulled together, plus I love that bag. Excellent job, as per usual!

  11. I saw that exact picture of Kate Bosworth last year. It inspired me to buy a muscle tee, too! I wound up with one that looks almost exactly like Kate's, but in black and white. I'm glad I'm not the only one that loved the look! P.S. I am loving your blog! I found you through the Lauren Conrad blogger contest too. I am so excited that I've found a fashion blogger that posts realistic, but still trendy and adorable work wear!

  14. I'm not a great fan of shorts where the inside white pockets "hang-down-and-show"............ BELOW the bottom hem of the shorts, (e.g., as the pockets in Kate Bosworth's white shorts do).    It almost seems to "ruin the line" of a pair of very nice shorts;  although it would probably REALLY "ruin the line" of a pair of very nice shorts, (like Kate Bosworth's wearin')............ even MORE............ if you actually put something INTO one (or both) of those "exposed" pockets............ because then you might have a particularly  p.r.o.m.i.n.e.n.t. ............ Pocket *LUMP* on your upper leg(s)!!

I really do like both of your outfits, but I particularly............ love-love-*l.o.v.e.*............ your shorts version, because I honestly don't think you'll EVER have to worry about (exposed) Pocket............ lump-lump-*L.U.M.P.*............ while wearin' any of YOUR white shorts, J. ............ i.e., like Kate Bosworth just might hafta worry about someday............ while wearin' some of HER white shorts, though, (haha)!!
