Today's Everyday Fashion: 20,000 Fans

Total coolness: I reached 20,000 fans on my Facebook page yesterday! I'm really excited because I was hoping to hit that number before my blog's 2-year birthday and I did, with 2 months to spare! Yay! :-) Facebook is my favorite platform, because as I explained in this post, I like that people can post their own questions, photos and links to items so that we can discuss things together. I wanted to create a forum where we can (safely!) talk through style questions, because I thought it could be a helpful resource for women on a budget. You guys are what make the page awesome, so a huge THANK YOU for creating such a cool page that I'm excited to be a part of everyday! :-)

  8. Congrats on that major milestone, J! I think your approach to Facebook is really interesting and original, and I agree that it makes the discussions more approachable.  And, I was so glad to read in the comment threads a few days ago that MJR sales is a reputable site.  A shop from home Ross?  Pretty much the greatest thing ever. :)

  11. Thanks Andi! I have a pretty good memory but if I can't remember I just go back and look at old posts! (from closer to the time when I first bought the item)

  12. Thank you!! :-) And yes I agree - sometimes I'm feeling tired/overwhelmed to shop stores like Ross or TJ's so it's nice to do it from home. ps. I saw on the TJ Maxx FB page that they might add online shopping soon! I'll keep you guys posted for sure.

  17. **Congratulations**, J.!!    Of the many reasons I just love your blog, maybe (one of) the BEST reasons is because of the way you've genuinely been a Fashion Blogger *leader* in encouraging all women, young and older, to............ wear more  *C.O.L.O.R.*............ i.e., by incorporating colorful and affordable pieces/accessories~~(with the prices of your Online Outfits actually listed!!)............ INTO their existing Clothing Wardrobes!!

For young women today, there are (as you know) just so, *so* many pressures............ e.g., Parental/Sibling pressures;  or School/Testing/Tuition pressures;  or Job/Boss pressures;  or having to Work-Far-From-Home/Rent pressures;  or Marriage/Kids/In-Laws/Mortgage pressures;  etc.;  etc.;  etc.

Being blessedly-able to choose clothes that are COLORFUL to wear at home, school, and/or work............ (i.e., from that wonderful *Rainbow* Of Colors!!)............ is ONE thing that young women can always, ALWAYS really "hold onto" in their current lives;  and you are............ "modeling the behavior," so to speak, J. ............ about exactly HOW to do that, you know!!    The self-esteem boost FROM simply wearing color~~(i.e., in how young women and older women feel about *themselves*;  and also in how others react *to* them, too)............ just............ totally............ *R.O.C.K.S.*!!
