Today's Everyday Fashion: Neon Blazer

I. love. this. blazer. Not only is it the perfect shade of neon pink, but it's also the most comfortable blazer I own. (It's a stretchy knit, but holds its shape, unlike most knit blazers I've seen.) For my first time wearing it, I got a little inspiration from Olivia Palermo for a night out with my friends! (minus the random green shoes) It was the perfect way to dress up for a chilly night out in Orlando. Pink blazers - on your wish list, rocking it now, or not for you?

  13. Nice outfit.  I think what I like about the radom green shoes in the picture of Oliva P. is that they give the outfit that element of the unexpected, giving her that punch of "style" we are all looking for.

  14. I'm totally wearing the same outfit (except with a striped top and flats since I'm a teacher on my feet all day)!  Great minds think alike! :)

I got my pink blazer last weekend at Gap.  They're already sold out online, but my local store had a pretty good supply.  I love it!

I love your look with the gray top underneath.  I'm super excited to experiment with this blazer.  I tried it on the store with boyfriend jeans and another striped tee and it made for a super cute casual look.

  16. I am kicking myself for not grabbing the pink blazer at GAP before it was sold out! So many options for spring/summer!

  17. I agree, I like the green! But not shiny green satin. *shudders*

  18. My Gap store is usually pretty good about checking if another store has one that they can ship.  If you have a Gap card, they'll ship to your house for free.  It's always worth asking.  They've been able to track down several items for me!

  19. Great idea! I do have a Gap card, I will have to give them a call this afternoon :) Thanks!!

  26. It looks great on you!  You are nice and tan though, so you can totally rock that neon pink!!!  I actually wore some bright colors today and a neon bracelet today, which is so random for me, but I loved it!  I am actually doing an outfit post tomorrow on how I actually wore bright colors!  LOL!  xx

  30. I never really thought that a simple blazer in a HOT Color----(e.g., like your gorgeous hot-pink blazer, Above!!)----might *potentially* be considered to be a Wardrobe BASIC like, say, a navy or black blazer is considered to be a
standard Wardrobe Basic!!    Since there's probably at least ONE (very *s.p.e.c.i.f.i.c.*) Hot Color that every person looks great in, (i.e., depending on her individual skin/hair tones!!)............ I could see how, say, a hot-pink blazer might simply become part of an individual's
    INITIAL............ "Wardrobe Basics" collection!!

With your Classic Pink-And-Black Combo, I also really like how you "softened the JOLT" of hot-pink directly against black by............ wearing it ABOVE your black skinnies............ and directly against a "light-black" type of shade, (i.e., your medium heather-gray shirt)!!    That way, it seems like the hot-pink color just gently *eases into* the black color----VIA your gray shirt----you know!!    'Just a really  *s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g.*  outfit, J.!!

  31. Well, you have the most beautiful skin ever!!!  :)

  32. OMG, I'm obsessed with that blazer. I recently tried on a hot pink blazer and am loving the punch of color. It'd be so cute for work too! I must pick it up asap! I like how you kept it simple with the black and grey but I think it'd be fun to colorblock with it too! Perhaps with your cobalt skinnies?!

  35. I bought it this weekend too!  :)  I'm wearing it tomorrow for Valentine's day at work.  Paired with a gray kinda ruffley shirt, black skirt, black sling backs, and silver/gray jewelry.   I agree, thanks for the inspiration!  I'm new to your blog, and this is my first outfit I'm wearing that's been inspired by you.  :)

  38. I had been searching for a pink blazer and randomly found one in my size no tailoring needed at the thrift store for $2.99!!! I have rocked it several times and love it so much. Enjoy yours!

  39. I love the pink, black and gray together. I would love it if you had "how to wear turquoise" or how to wear pink" etc. in your table of contents. I often have a color I want to wear but don't have outfit ideas. So if you had headings for colors, then had outfits with those colors, it might be easier for fashion idiots like me to steal your ideas. :)
