Today's Everyday Fashion: Goodbye to Europe

Last day in London!

This is my last vacation post! Tomorrow I will be back to the usual format. :-) But first - I spent one more day in London, wearing this outfit. The weather was supposed to be super-cold, so I layered up. The sweater is warm, and so are the jacket and boots, so it actually turned out to be a wee bit too much, and I wish I would have worn my loafers instead. We met up with some friends for lunch, then I headed to the National Gallery to check out the art. It was absolutely amazing - saw some really famous Van Goghs and other paintings that stopped me dead in my tracks. I also love that museums are free in London, so there was really no excuse not to go and enjoy it! The next day we spent 10+ hours on a plane (connected through Boston) and I wore the outfit below. The picture of me at Harrod's in Heathrow came out grainy so I also included my prep picture (which I never intended to show you, hence the crazy hair, whoops). My leggings were navy and the top half was camel. Soooo comfy and I slept for hours on the international flight. Leggings for air travel = best thing ever!

  1. I am interested to know how many jacket, shirts, pants etc you took. When I travel, I also struggle with taking too much, because I like to look like different each day.  You seemed to pull that off with a few amount of clothes.  Thanks - I enjoyed your trip!

  3. Thanks Fran! I'm going to do a recap and show you guys everything I packed - I brought 4 jackets: this leather jacket, this camel blazer, a navy wool jacket and a trench coat (didn't use the last one). I also only brought 3 pairs of shoes and tried to make the same items look new with different tops/accessories! :-)

  4. How cute are you with the sweater over the plaid shirt! Very cute. I can't wait for it to get cold here in Texas so I can wear my new denim shirts under v-neck sweaters. Looks like your trip was so much fun!

  5. I just realized you aren't wearing your wedding ring in any of your Europe pictures! Probably a good thing so it couldnt get lost or stolen.. I just never thought about it!

  6. I love love everything about the first outfit, I must recreate it, it's like rocker chic (cropped leather jacket and boots) meets preppy (sweater and plaid shirt), love it! I love the second outfit too, especially the leggings.

    I voted! :)

  7. Did you make your hair blonder again??

  8. Erica, I think the dark dye is just fading unfortunately. :-( Almost time for a touch up though so I'm planning to add more dark streaks back in!

  9. Thanks Kailey, I actually haven't been wearing it for a couple months for personal reasons. Depending on where you are traveling though and what kind of place you are staying (does it have a safe, for example), it might be safer to leave that stuff at home!

  13. Melissa, there are two times each year where you can find insane deals like this: right after Christmas, and in late June/early July. I found this blazer during the latter!
