Today's Everyday Fashion: DailyBuzz Style 9x9

When someone dares me to do something, I pretty much have to take the dare. My uber-competitive tendencies (a la Monica on Friends) could explain why I've been participating in a lot of outfit challenges lately. I did one with TJ Maxx, one with Express, one with LOFT coming up and today's challenge is from the website DailyBuzz Style. They asked a group of bloggers to style an outfit with brightly colored pants for fall. Which was all the motivation I needed to finally pick up some cobalt skinnies (have been on my wish list for awhile) and style a kick-butt outfit with them. Cobalt is definitely one of my favorite colors this fall so I plan to wear them often, and stay tuned to see the how the other blogger's did it on Tuesday! Tell me - are you trying the bright pants trend this fall? Which color will you wear?

  1. Hi, I love the outfit you look adorable! I am rocking hot pink skinnies this fall and loving them! And I got the best deal on them-$16 at Filene's Basement about a month and a half ago!

  2. Love this outfit!! I'm wearing red skinnies. Red near my face washes me out so I'm trying the color on my lower half because I think this color is perfect for fall!

  4. I love this look!  I wore my cobalt blue skinnies out last night for the first time with an Express graphic tee, black faux leather jacket and black pumps!  I have a red pair as well which I haven't worn yet!

  10. love it. i want to find some red ones! Do you think the colored skinny look is too YOUNG for a 32 year Mom though? I"m still not sure :)

  11. Not even a little bit too young. Just don't wear them with a graphic tee and neon sneakers and you will be fine. :-)

  14. Love that white blazer!  I'm currently writing this comment while wearing salmon pink skinnies...more of a spring color, but it was warmer out today so I went with it.  I also have red ones that I haven't worn yet.  Express has a lot of good colors and they are super flattering, I'm just debating on whether I can justify buying the cobalt ones!

  15. LOVE anything cobalt! I have been looking for a pair of kelly green skinnies, any advice on where to find an inexpensive or reasonably priced pair? And by reasonably priced I'm thinking no more than $50.00 or so.

  16. JC Penny had cute skinnies on sale last week for around $15.00.  I bought bright yellow, purple, and azalea pink.  Not sure which color I will keep -- probably the pink.  Haven't decided how to wear them either.  Definitely giving them more of a conservative look.

J would you know the model of your shoes? I have the same pair in an 8.5 and I would like to sell them on e-bay.

  21. Hello J. I have the same pair of shoes in an 8.5. I would like to sell mine but I just dont remember the model details. Would you know the details on them?

  22. Alexandra, I believe the style name is Geringer. Post a link on my Facebook page when you sell them, I'm sure one of my readers would be interested!

  23. Elizabeth, I think American Eagle runs a size small across the board. I wear a size 2 at Gap, Abercrombie, F21, but at American Eagle I always get a 4! :-)

  32. I was just at Nordstroms and tried a pair of blue cobalt ones on from the Brass Plum section.  They were under $50.  Just have to find a cute top to wear with them that doesn't make me look like a teeny bopper!!
