Today's Everyday Fashion: Guest Post

This is a guest post while J is away on vacation. Everyone give Katie a big warm welcome!

Jean jacket meets silk skirt: I loved the idea of dressing down a silk skirt with a denim jacket. This outfit was for work, so I added some Wedges instead of the flat sneakers. What do you think of the comeback of the jean jacket?

  1. A jean jacket is an essential in my opinion! I love how you paired it with this fun skirt!  I wear my jean jacket with everything from maxi dresses, floral skirts, and jeans!

  2. Love this fancy-casual look, Katie!  Your skirt is sooo cute and what a great deal from Banana Republic!  I love jean jackets but since I don't have one, right now I'm usuing a denim shirt the same way - unbuttoned and left open on top of fancier dresses and skirts to give my look a casual vibe.

  8. Jean jackets never went away for me. I have one from the Gap that I've had for years now. I love it! It's especially great with casual skirts and pants.

  10. Thanks everyone! I felt weird about wearing denim anything other than jeans for awhile, but now back to loving jean shirts and jackets with so many things...especially skirts and dresses!

  15. Aren't those wedges great for the price? I also saw the EXACT same pair at TJ Maxx, but they were 'Aerosoles' brand...hmmm...wonder if the same place made them? That would definitely explain the comfort factor!

  19. Boo!!! That is sad. I did just have a girl comment on FB that she found the skirt on Ebay recently...you might want to give it a try? I just reccommend going up a size or two. I wear Banana all the time, and this one definitely ran super small!

  20. I wear my denim jacket to work all the time! It's an easy way to cover up on those slightly chilly days, and it goes with everything!

  21. Thanks! I got it at www.luxurywatchstore.com, but it looks like they are out of stock :( To find the best price, I always type the item number into google, and then click on the shopping option. Some of the results may be a little shady, so I try to do a little reseach before actually purchasing (checking the authenticity and return policy is a must!). Hope that helps!

  22. I got it at www.luxurywatchstore.com, but it looks like they are out of stock :(  The way I typically look for a good deal is to type the item number or description into google and select the 'shopping' link. You can sort by price, and I think it has better results than the deal finding websites I used in the past (like pricegrabber or bizrate). I do recommend doing a little homework on the site before purchsing though because some can seem a little shady (I always try to determine the authenticity and return policy - just in case). Hope this helps!
