Today's Everyday Fashion: WTForever21

One of the reasons I love blogging so much is for days like these. I recently stumbled upon this crazy trend of wearing a long-sleeve shirt as a skirt and couldn't wait to try it out to see what you guys think! I'm also honored to be guest blogging over at WTForever 21 today. Rachel is sarcastic and hilarious and the premise of her blog is to make fun of the ridiculous items we stumble upon at Forever 21 that make us think WTF. Check out my post on her blog today for my truly sarcastic feelings on this trend (hint: I feel naked and my butt looks huge), and tell me - would you wear a long sleeve shirt as a skirt?

  2. i think the model pulls it off because her outfit is more loose! Definitely creative!

  3. I've gotta say I am not a fan. I think you have an amazing body, but the shirt as a skirt does nothing for you.

  4. Oh my gosh! I went and checked out her blog and that is the most hilarious and awesome thing ever!  You could wear a paper bag and look great, but I don't think I will be trying this look anytime soon, lol!

  5. I'm surprised to say so, but I actually like the model's look. It looks to me like an actual skirt that is trying to look like a skirt. I'm not a huge fan of yours because it looks really bulky.

  6. You look great in everything you wear J. This is just one trend that I will have to watch others participate in. Forever 21 is quite creative.

  7. I have to say that the model does pulls it off because her top is looser and the shirt is a bit looser on the bottom as well. The look is definitely creative, but not one that the everyday woman can pull off, so it is a no go for me as most women.  You tried, and I give you credit for being bold enough to try to wear this awkward look.  :)

  8. Cute for a photo shoot, not real life. Happy weekend! :)

  9. Beth, I don't think I would actually wear this in public. This was more of a try it from the comfort and privacy of my room type thing. ;-)

  10. I am sorry. This is just BANANAS!

  11. haha I agree with Beth, below.  The model does a great job pulling off the look, but it is JUST a photograph - I think I would feel realllly self-conscious if I actually wore that outfit to school or work!  But I won't knock it until I try it =D

  14. No this look/idea is eye appealing. I guess if there was an emergency to change your bottom, a long sleeve would suffice, but I would not wear this look at all.

  15. Oops... NOT eye appealing.

  19. Omigosh your guest post is hilarious! I've seen this look before and just think it is way too weird. I wonder if the stylist that dreamt this up was really just improvising because she spilled a latte on the real skirt ;) Kudos to you for giving it a try!!

  20. First of all, you butt does not look huge. You have an amazing body! I actually like the look, even if it is a bit odd.

  21. Ummm...NO. You did a great job of styling it up and frankly would look good in a potato sack, but even the model looks just a little ridiculous. :) I'm sorry, but I would totally not be able to wear this in real life!

  22. I absolutely love that you try anything - and that you're not afraid to share it even if you don't like it!  Loved your guest post and her blog!!  F21 definitely has some doosies!!  Can't really say I'm a fan of the shirt as a skirt, but if anyone can do it, you can!  :)  PS Your butt does not look huge - you look fantastic as always!!

  28. J...I love your blog and check in almost everyday but I was a bit disturbed by the WTF? Kinda surprised me that you would use the term on your blog?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Sorry Blair! I don't/won't usually use that term, but since it is a part of her blog's name, there was no way around it. (ps. she cusses a lot on her blog, so if that kind of thing offends you I wouldn't visit!)

  30.  ps. In my head the F stands for "fudge." :-)

  31. Thanks J....! That's one of the things that I admire most about your blog, after you're rocking fashion sense, is that you seem so down to earth and authentic! keep up the great work. We all appreciate all of your hard work more than you know!

  36. OMG! I love this. Except I actually do have a butt, which I love and wish was bigger, and hips, so I dont know if I could find a shirt big enough. You on the other hand look fab. And your butt doesn't look big AT ALL. LOL
