Today's Everyday Fashion: Color Blocking

My favorite season has always been summer, and you can see it all over my wardrobe. It's full of bright colors and I've always owned more tank tops than sweaters, even when I lived in Boston. I think this is why color blocking never gets old! I plan on taking full advantage of the remaining summer weeks to post as many bright color ensembles as possible! Tell me - what is your favorite season for clothes? Are you savoring summer like me, or can't wait until fall?

  2. Colorblocking, or any color for that matter, used to scare me until I started seeing you wear all your fun colors, I knew it was possible.  You really come up with some great color combos!  I started out small, but eventually have gotten the hang of it.

My favorite season for sure is summer with fall right behind it!

  4. Until I saw how you put together this "color blocking" trend, I was intimidated by it but, now it seems doable. I love all the bright colors and never wish for fall! Fall means winter is right around the corner and winter in NY sucks!

  5. I love summer clothes! But, I always feel like once we get to the end of the season I'm ready to transition into the next season's clothing for something new!

I really love how you pair unexpected colors together...the pink with the blue and green is perfection!  I am all over turquoise and red lately....super classic summer colors!

  9. I agree. Summer is the best. Plus I hate being all bulky & having to wear a jacket during the winter which just covers up my cute shirt underneath!

  10. And you do the color so well.  My favorite season to dress in is Fall  because I love layers, but I love color too - so I just wear color year around. :)

  11. Hi J!
i just discoved your blog and I love it! one question, your watch is gorgeous, but are your wedding rings white gold or yellow? I am thinking about purchasing the watch but my weddings are white gold. d o you think it will match? Thanks!

  12. Michelle, thank you and welcome to the blog! My wedding rings are also white gold. It's funny because I wear gold jewelry almost exclusively but wouldn't do a gold wedding ring. I (clearly) think it's fine to mix the two! :-)

  13. Spring is my season.  A skirt or capris with a cardigan and flats is my favorite.  I like color to and I like to wear lots of spring colors like pastels.

  14. Wow love this outfit and love how bright and well those colors go together!  You've inspired me in more ways than one to wear color...I get in such a rut buying black or grey all the time, but now I'm stepping out of my comfort zone to embrace color! :)

My fav clothing season is, though I love summer for the summer dresses and bright colors, I do especially love fall/winter to wear my fav ensemble of sweater dresses and knee high boots...or jeans tucked into the boots :)

  15. I cannot WAIT for fall. Warm clothes are so much cuter, and I for one, like hiding my pale legs under jeans and tights!
