If you try one crazy color combo this summer, I vote for red and pink! I am loving it so much and have been seeing it everywhere (this dress at H&M is the same color as my shirt and skirt). I always say "never listen to fashion rules" and this is case in point. Just a few years ago wearing red and pink together would have made people gag but now it is tres chic! Will you try wearing pink and red together?

It was great meeting you! I had so much fun. :-) Oh, and I noticed Express is rocking the red/pink color block combo in dresses now too. They had a fun bright blue/green combo as well.
ReplyDeleteand now a days, to gag is a good thing!
ReplyDeleteIt was great meeting you last night!!
ReplyDeleteThat color combo looks great on you. I didn't even notice that the skirt you were wearing was scalloped at the bottom -- so cute.
Michelle, it was so nice meeting you, thank you for coming! Hope to see you at another event soon.
ReplyDeletePaula, it was great meeting you! I also had so much fun and enjoyed our conversation about originality! :-) I did see that at Express now that you mention it - pink and red are really everywhere right now!
ReplyDeleteHi J i've seen this skirt on you before and was wondering when you got it at forever 21 and if it might be online! looks great!
ReplyDeleteI love this!! Great skirt! :)

You always look so amazing!! It amazes me how you can take an inspirational photo and create an outfit that looks 10 times better!!
ReplyDeleteI was one of the first to GAG at someone wearing pink+red - now I love it and cannot wait to find the right pieces and wear them together. Well done, yours turned perfect.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a cute look, you're always so creative in putting things together! Since I've started following your blog, I feel like I've definitely been more inspired to try pairing things from my closet that I wouldn't normally put together, so thanks for the inspiration! Also, I saw that both you and PB Fingers were at the event you went to last night, I love both of your blogs!! Have a great weeekend! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like this color combo! I am going to be in a wedding next week that has the color scheme of watermelon pink and orange (think tulips..). My dress is pink, any suggestion of a color for my nails? Do you typically stick to a neutral nail when you're wearing louder colors like this?
ReplyDeleteKara, I don't think I have had nail polish on my nails since I was 5 years old haha! Don't know why, but I never wear it. I love those wedding colors though!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jane, you are so sweet! PB Fingers and Meals and Miles both live here in Central FL so I am lucky to get to hang out with them from time to time! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you, I also gagged. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Tiara!
ReplyDeleteEmily, I just added a link to the skirt in the caption! They still have some left! (for reference, I'm a size 2 and I ordered a M.)
ReplyDeleteI am a new reader and I love your blog! Great outfit. Whenever I think of pink and red, I think of Rizzo's outfit at the end of Grease. I like this outfit much better :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on this one along with pink and coral. It's a little bit more subtle than pink and red. My most recent combination was blue and yellow and it wasn't as shocking as I previously thought. Goes to show that clothes are just clothes, if we don't like it, take it off. Now haircuts on the other hand, that's a lot scarier :)

I've always loved pink & red together. Just gorgeous. And that teal accent you tossed in in brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI need to try red and pink together! You look great. I'm sorry I missed you in Kansas! I saw you on the news. I hope you had a great time in the area.
