Today's Everyday Fashion: The New Staple

I have to admit that when I first spotted this white blazer, I hesitated to buy it. I was seeing them everywhere and loving them on celebrities, but I just wasn't sure if I would be able to style it correctly/pull it off. Fast forward to month later and this is now a staple in my wardrobe! Just try and get me to not post an outfit with it for a week, I dare you. :-) What items have you been reluctant to buy, but wound up loving?

  1. I received my white blazer last week from MJR and I'm in the same boat! I'm constantly thinking of outfits I can put together and would love to wear it every day! It's definitely my new staple piece. My other staples are black dress boots for winter and cardi's (in every color!).

  3. I was very reluctant to purchase a pair of classic coral pumps (it was the coral I was afraid of). After I got home, they went with so many things in my closet and I am so happy I took a chance!

I love your white blazer. It really makes that outfit pop!!

  9. I'm glad you are into the white blazer right now...I scored a great one at Express during their 40% off summer sale this past week. You have given me so many ideas for ways to wear it!!

  10. I agree with Lauren, I recently purchased a whole bunch of Coral accessories because it's a hard colour to wear on Asians, but I wasn't sure if I'd like them or not!  I figured, a small investment in a few pieces why not?  Turns out I use them all the time!  www.bravoerunway.com

  11. Too funny Holly! I think this is the 5th look I've done with this skirt? You can easily see all my past looks in 3 photo albums on Facebook called "J's Everyday Outfits"!

  12. lovely!  I was reluctant to buy nude pumps believe it or not!  I thought they looked boring, and the patent leather ones?!  Forget it!  I ended up buying a regular leather pair of platform nude pumps and I swear they are one of the best purchases I've ever made!

  13. I love that blazer. good thing you got it.
I still hesitate with maxi skirts/dresses.  I'm sure I'll come around eventually. I hesitated with skinny jeans many moons ago too!

  14. The blazer doesn't look white to me on the MJR Sales website. Is it just me? Its the "Coconut Milk" one right? Thanks

  15. Lisa, yes it's not a true white, it's ever-so-slightly off-white!
