Today's Everyday Fashion: Neoprene

Believe it or not - neoprene, the stuff you find in wetsuits, has been a big trend on runways for the past few seasons. I have always been oddly fascinated with this trend. There's something about it that I find really appealing, maybe the reference to scuba diving reminds me of the ocean which equals happy times? Either way, I've really been wanting to give it a try. I scaled it way back (obviously) and focused on colors (seafoam and the pop of orange) and fabric (this skirt has a total wetsuit vibe if you've seen it in person) to create a neoprene-inspired look for work! Tell me - do you like the neoprene trend? Have you ever tried to wear it in everyday life?

  7. I like that jacket a lot!  I'm not sure how I feel about wearing neoprene. It reminds me of my knee injury and the knee brace I had to wear. HA!

  10. Hannah, I have no idea, it's mostly used in wetsuits to keep people warm, so I doubt it. Just to clarify though: my skirt is NOT made of neoprene. Not even a little bit. :-)

  11. I'd try neoprene in the fall!  I am waiting for an uber high-end designer like the house of McQueen or Vivenne Westwood to come out with a neoprene skirt or dress in a cobalt blue or burnt orange for fall!

  12. I am in love with that skirt and color, it definitely brings happy memories of the beach :)

On a side note, I wasn't sure if you knew about the site Etsy.com but I thought it might interest you. There's some really great and creative items on it ranging anywhere from clothing to hardware that you can get for some nice prices. I have a slight shopping addiction (especially for one of a kind items) so I'm constantly browsing it daily.

  19. To stay work everybody needs sturdy joints, however
athletes, the aged and persons with weight issues have to be compelled to pay
explicit attention to their knees to take care of stability. people who have
some problems with their knees ought to take the recommendation of a therapist
or health care provider before beginning a knee pain exercise program.
