Today's Everyday Fashion: Hot Momma

Kate Hudson is one hot momma in today's inspiration photo. She may have a bit of an unrealistic lifestyle for many of us, but I am still hoping to rock outfits like these (and have her gams) after I have babies someday. I may even carry around a toy as an accessory/paparazzi shield like she is. ;-)

Styling tips: I love the idea of an all-white outfit with a fun or neutral colored jacket over it. One thing that is tricky about it though: you can't take the jacket off or you will look like you are painting someone's house. So check the weather and plan accordingly!  I also bet you won't believe me, but I've had this jacket for at least 5 years. I thought I was over it and almost sold it recently. That is, until I saw Kate wearing one and had a change of heart. Fashion is fickle.

  4. <3 It!  I love those shoes, they look like the DVF wedges that I spotted at Nordstrom in early Spring with a hefty pricetag of $300!

And as per usual, your outfit is way better than the "inspiration photo." : )

  8. Haha, I have this exact jacket from the limited that I got ages ago! I rarely get rid of blazers/jackets just bc they tend to come back in style if you wait long enough. I might have to try this look!

  10. Sarah, too funny! I also tend to hold onto blazers, but I had had this one for so long I thought it might be time to let it go. I found this Kate Hudson picture just in time! :-)

  13. I too had that blazer but unfortunately it went the way of the donation pile on the last round.  Blazers tend not to fit me right, or rather, the ones i've purchased in the past don't.

It really is cute and makes this outfit!

  14. Hi J, do you have any advice on "foot care" when wearing heals? How do you avoid getting blisters?

PS. If you ever change your mind about selling it, I'd be happy to buy it off of you! :)

  18. j, i LOVE your jacket. it's amazing. but i also understand why you'd think of selling it.. however if you make some slight changes to it (like switching out the buttons) you'd totally give new life to it!
