Today's Everyday Fashion: Green with Envy

When I saw this DVF photo I was green with envy. So much so, that I decided to pull some green items out of my own closet and make my own green look. I love how colorful it is, and yet all the colors blend together and look almost muted. (Anyone seeing what I'm seeing?) What are some of your favorite unexpected color combos this summer?

I'm also asking for a quick favor today - would you consider becoming an official "follower" of the blog by clicking the "Follow" button in the right-hand column? I hate when people ask just to ask (and I'm honestly way less concerned with how many fans I have, than how much you guys like the content!), but would be really, really helpful for a couple projects I'm working on to have a higher # in that box. Thanks for your help ladies! ;-)

  5. This whole outfit is gorgeous! You really do put together some wonderful color combinations.

One color combo that I have been loving lately is red and turqouise. I don't know if it's unexpected, but it's been fun for me experimenting with colors this summer.

  12. Gina, I'm obsessed with this skirt! It can be a pop of color or a neutral depending on what you pair it with. It was more than I wanted to spend but I'm so glad I 'invested' in it!

  17. Seriously, how do you find such cheap cardigans? The cheapest I ever find is $30. I guess I don't shop in the right places.

  18. Hannah, a lot of my cardigans are from H&M. They have awesome colors and $18 is the regular price for them. I also love finding them on sale at LOFT and Banana. Here's a link to a post I did about my secrets of finding great deals at Banana, I hope this helps! :-)  http://www.jseverydayfashion.com/2011/04/todays-everyday-fashion-secrets-of.html

  28.  I love the color of that skirt.  It's a bit ambiguous, between gray and blue, but I think that's the best part.  It gives the skirt character.
