Today's Everyday Fashion: The Biggest Fish

Last week I talked about wearing a scarf and a necklace together in this outfit post, and today I'm using a similar trick, a la the Ann Taylor inspiration photo! It's a slightly different version with the scarf open, and I have to say I'm diggin' it. The other thing I love about this work look: the entire thing cost $100!!! A couple items I've had for years, and I used coupons and shopped sales (as usual). I also got the shoes at one of my favorite bargain stores - Ross. Don't you love it when you realize your entire outfit cost $100, or $50 or even $20?! Leave your best budget-outfit stories to see who has earned bragging rights. :-)

  1. I love blue and white together. It really looks fresh!  That is a great deal on your scarf.

My best budget story would probably be this post. My whole outfit was $22.

  7. I recently bought a silk embellished top from Ann Taylor Loft for $3.43!! It was originally $60, marked way down to $4.90 then an additional 30% off of that.

  8. I pinned (Pinterest) this one too. Love the color combo. For Jacksonville I might lose the sweater and just wear a sleeveless shirt. Great look!

  9. I love this sort of trendy, but office appropriate look and the white bottoms make the colors really pop! I can see this with a pair of gold aviator sunglasses and you're ready for summer!

  10. Alot of people shy away from Ann Taylor LOFT, but they have the BEST sales. Think sales + half off the sale, sometimes! Just the other day I popped in an got some basics and a few extra necklaces, all for around $30. Happy Hunting!

  13. I think you did a great job! I once tried doing the scarf with the belt around it and it turned out to be an epic fail!

  15. I like your look more, I think the skirt makes the outfit more wearable... I love shorts for summer, but the inspiration photo's shorts are almost mom jeans reminiscent to me... awesome job creating an improvement out of the inspiration :)
