Today's Everyday Fashion: The $5 Dress
I am totally in love with this inspiration photo from Harper's Bazaar. It makes me want to glue a starfish to a bandana, hop on a bike, and ride around town! ;-) Instead, I pulled out my $5 dress from last summer and dressed it up to get the same effect (sans bike).
Styling tips: I guarantee that anything in your closet can feel new again with just a little thinking outside the box! Pair last summer's items with unexpected accessories to double your closet and ditch the "I have nothing to wear feeling" we all get when the seasons change!
Inspiration photo: Harper's Bazaar
Dress: H&M, $5 (last summer)
Cardigan: Banana Republic, $14
Belt: H&M, $5
Shoes: Chinese Laundry/DSW, $27 (last summer)
Necklace: c/o Stella & Dot

ReplyDeleteLOVE THE DRESS!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute dress! Love the colors and can't believe you got it for $5!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a fun inspiration photo. Although, I never know how girls can ride their bikes in the summer in skirts/dresses...I'm always terrified I'll flash someone my undies...;)
ReplyDeleteSUCH a cute dress, and I always love pale yellow on most people. As long as you have the right shade of yellow, I think its such a flattering and unexpected color. Love.
Such a cute dress! I like the idea of spicing up what you already have in your closet with new accessories. That's good for the bank account too!
ReplyDeleteWow nothing beats a $ 5 dollar deal...this dress is too cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving stripes right now! Gorgeous look!

I agree Katie - and get this - that was the original price of the dress (not on sale)!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute dress! I just went to H&M for the first time in NY recently and love that store... Unfortunately the nearest one is about 8 hours away. I have to admit I'm more than a little jealous of anyone that lives near one!
ReplyDeleteI love when its time to pull out the clothes from last summer, remember what you had (that you've already forgotten about!) and figure out how to wear them in this summers style
ReplyDeleteThank you! H&M is going to start offering online ordering in 2012 so get ready!! :-)
