Today's Everyday Fashion: Shop McAuley's

One of my favorite parts about blogging is learning about new boutiques to love. I used to be a retail-only type girl, but I am really into boutiques now! As soon as I saw this unique shirt from Shop McAuley's, I fell in love with the color, and I had a hunch that it would work for re-creating this Anthropologie look. I love the varying shades of blue and green, and the yellow shoes were the perfect touch. (I also tried nude shoes but it was pretty blah.) What are some of your favorite small boutiques online? Submit them below and I'll add them to my online shopping guide!

  1.  i LOVE the look, J! Have you ever heard of shoedazzle.com? Its pretty cool! you put in things you like and 'stylists' put together a bunch of things based on what you chose, anyways, I just did it and its really cool!! I am sure you have heard of it but I wanted to let you know about it if you didnt! I found a pair of HOT fuschia sling back pumps and I really want them (they are inexpensive--only $39.99) but I am nervous about them being on the flashy/trashy side...i would LOVE your opinion on them and how to wear them to class them up--it would make me feel better about buying them haha! I attached a link I am not sure if it works so if it doesn't just imagine BRIGHT fuschia high heel sling back pumps :) thank you so much!http://www.shoedazzle.com/products/Zinnia-5

  2.  Gorgeous top!  I LOVE boutique shopping - sometimes the bigger stores seem more overwhelming and the boutiques have more specialized merchandise, plus they usually have more personalized customer service :)

  4. J, I really like how you mixed the different shades of blue in this outfit, and the yellow pumps are a great touch. This outfit might just inspire me to mix some shades of color in my own wardrobe. Also, on a sidenote, I totally thought of you last night while watching the premier of The Real Housewives of NJ. Not sure if you watch, but the outfits that some of these women wore to a Christening were bright, sparkly, super short (interesting to say the least)... and it made me laugh because all I could think was that you werer sooo right with one of the comments you made the other day.

  5. I just put a skirt that color in my Goodwill pile and it makes me really sad.  I love the color, but the fit was lumpy.

  7. I love how brave you are with mixing color. I was thinking about multicolor/color blocking - I think you have to wear at least three different colors to make it work. Thanks for the continued inspiration!

  10. So I always look at your blog and think how cute your outfits are and how I don't dress that cute.  Wellll today to work I wore a royal blue shirt (your exactly color here!), a gray pencil skirt, and nude heels.  Seriously how funny!!  Maybe I am subconsioucly learning something haha :)

  13. I like some of the things at www.shopruche.com. Some of them can be dowdy but then there are some that are really unique and cute! I have my eye on a gray skirt with black polka dots and ruffles!

  22. Sherry Goldsmith Totally agree! I also love that the clothing on boutiques is more unique and you have less of a chance of running into someone wearing your dress.

  23. @google-3702914369f9fb581bfccf5365f3f5a8:disqus I'm not usually a huge fan of Shoe Dazzle but the ones you linked to are HOT!! I seriously want them in pink AND green! I think they are adorable. I would definitely be conservative for the rest of your outfit - don't go too short or too tight - but there are tons of things you could wear them with.

  24. I love finding new websites on your blog! I live out of the country and do all of my shopping online:( My favorite is a local boutique close to my hometown and they just got a website (before it was all facebook based). Check it out... www.thebluedoorboutique.com

  26. i actually like your look BETTER than the Athro look! I love yellow heels, they are so fun and it's fresh how you paired it with bright blue. You rock, J!

  27. I love the Inspiration Photo so Much and I also love your look, so chic and elegant. Very J.Crew looking. The Mustard Pumps add some oomph to it for sure. That top is beautiful. I would wear this head to toe. Also, you have been rocking these earrings a lot in these last few posts and I love them as well.
