Today's Everyday Fashion: High School Reunion

I had WAY too much fun at my high school reunion last night! I went to a private Christian high school in Kansas and our class of 33 was like growing up in a family of 32 brothers and sisters. :-) I was SO excited to see everyone - some of my good friends I see quite often but others I hadn't seen in 10 years! I had an amazing time and was so glad to be able to make it back for the event.

About my outfit: I completely packed wrong for the weather in Kansas!! When I checked the weather before I left, it said it would be 90 degrees so a simple dress was my top choice. The weather turned out to be a lot cooler and was rainy all day though, so I would have preferred to be in jeans and a jacket. I also didn't love the cardigan with this dress, but sometimes you just have to roll with what you brought. Today's outfit post is proof that even fashionistas like me have off days! :-)

  4. J-I also went to a private Christian high school (in Illinois) where my class of 28 was the largest class they'd ever had up to that point so I can relate! As for your outfit, I think it looks fine w/your dress! Just goes to show you how easy it is to transform a simple dress. P.S. your post last week about hot pink shorts inspired me to get a pair yesterday at Gap Outlet. Mine are linen too but dressed up well with a tiered teal tank, dangle earrings & nude sandals. Thanks for the inspiration!

  7. Lol!  If that's your version of a "day off" I would hate for you to see mine!!!  Sweats and a baseball hat - that's where it's at! ;)  You look gorgeous!

Trust me, I sport that look too sometimes haha! This was an off day merely because the clothes did not match the weather, so it was a little "off." :-)

  9. You look beautiful in the dress and cardi combo even if it wasn't weather-right.
Do you remember what style dress it is? I love it, simple and classic shape.

  13. I like the outfit, it just didn't fit the weather AT ALL. Hate it when that happens! :-)

  14. That's awesome! I too grew up in a small town and our class of 18 is still pretty close (thanks, Facebook!). Also, I am a weather freak and I totally hear you on not having the right outfit for the weather. Don't you just hate trying to balance packing enough for variance but not going overboard? I usually end up taking way too much. LOL
