Necklace: JcPenney, $20
I'm not going to candy-coat it for you guys: Miami Fashion Week was kind of a mess. Between traffic, a poorly managed guest list, and trying to organize a camera crew, it was one of the most frantic experiences I've ever had. But let's focus on the positive here!! It was fun to visit Miami and my BFF from 4th grade Sarah. I loved interviewing designers and buyers to hear their unique perspectives. And I got to wear a gorgeous hot pink dress from Varga. I never get tired of getting dressed up and being girlie so that was probably my favorite part of the whole night!! Be sure to check out my hot pink number (it's only $44) on their website + tons of other cute dresses appropriate for Miami Fashion Week and beyond!
ps. A video of the runway and my interviews will be posted in about a week! Stay tuned. ;-)

You look beautiful! I love the pink dress.
ReplyDeleteYou rocked that dress hun!
ReplyDeleteThe good news is that you can't tell how chaotic it was in the photos. Your dress looks AMAZING on you! I would totally go buy one if only I had somewhere to wear it (the Pacific northwest ain't exactly warm or dry this time of year...or anytime of year). But you rock it. Can't wait for the video!
ReplyDeleteMoms Have Style, Too!
You look great! I have been to multiple fashion weeks in Miami, and yes - they are chaotic! Living down there is even more crazy, let me assure you :) Good job!

Sarah, I bought tickets last year and it was so relaxing and fun. Going as press this year was a real sham though, could not believe how unorganized everything was!!
ReplyDeleteYou look better in the dress than the model on the Varga site. Way to go.
ReplyDeleteyou should have been on that runway, you are stunning ;)
ReplyDeleteSarra, you are way too kind! Those models are like creatures from outer space they are so freaking beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteYour outfit reminds me of Blake Lively in Michael Kors! You look amazing and I am sure you did a great job :) Congrats on everything you are working on right now, I know we are all excited to see more!

I love your dress! I have a hot pink sheath dress (same shade of pink) that I added a skinny black belt to, and I wore it with black stiletto pumps for Valentine's Day. You looked great! :o)
ReplyDeleteSO FUN! (despite the messiness)
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to spend some QT with your BFF too (ya!).

Which haute couture designer did you interview? It's very rare if not unheard of for haute couture designers to show at various Fashion Weeks, since their craft is a rare breed these days.
ReplyDeleteYou look great. Looks Like you had a good time. Traffic in MIA always sucks.

Looks like a whirlwind experience - but fun! And love that pink dress on you!!!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI posted a question, but doesn't look like it was posted. What is the name of the haute couture designer you interviewed? I ask because it's a very, very rare and fading art form/design and the design houses don't normally show outside of Paris. If they do it's usually NYC or London... Thanks
Hi Jacquie, I totally agree. Meeting a haute couture designer was rare and I was delighted to interview such a true artist. Unfortunately I'm not great with names, but I will have it when I post the video. If you want to check out all of the haute couture designers at Miami Fashion Week, check out their Facebook page for tons of pictures!
ReplyDeletepink color is my favorite, i also loves to wear pink skirts
ReplyDeleteWell, you look like a million bucks in less than 100$. Nice photos and great event, lucky you that gets to participate in so many fashion-related events in your area. The best thing I think is that you scored a Gorgeous Hot Pink dress. In it, you look like a Live Barbie.
